Wouldn't the Greek one be "Chelononintzakia"? After all, "Chelonia" is the Greek word for "Turtle". And according to the Greek letters, it starts with a Chi, which is the Greek letter for CH or C.

From the Spanish one, I think it may have been dubbed in Spain. If it says "juntos siempre permaneced", then it definitely was- in Latin America it would be "juntos siempre permanezcan".

I'd love to hear the Catalan one. It's the native language of my father's family.

It's awesome how I could understand almost everything in the Italian one, even though I have not taken formal lessons in the language.

I like the Hebrew one's rhythm. Even though they kept the melody and rhythm, I can distinguish the Hebrew pattern.

Thank you for posting them up!

Also, in Germany, the TMNT aren't called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles anymore, that was for the old toon. They're now called, very much in tone with the US-toon: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I have to tell a story one of these days, but I just an't listen to certain songs in certain other languages. I don't know why. Spanish, French, Japanese, stuff like that I can handle. Somethings just give me an icky tummy feeling due to certain sounds. Hebrew especially has harsh "KCH" and "SHHH" type sounds.

But anyway, this does a Massachusettes boy proud. Considering I saw a clip of the Arthur theme song in different languages, I feel a lot of pride. We have Dr. Seuss, The Tick, TMNT, and Arthur. And it's all over the world.

Sounds awfully reasonable, but run it through a google search. You'll see.

The only Catalan theme I've found was Classic 'Toon. Sorry.

Cool. I knew the UK got over their N-word taboo, but I wasn't sure about Germany.

Aiy, the Russian one is just a guy talking to the background music. Which I'm sure makes the "I love bein' a - I love bein' a - I love bein' a turtle" part awkward.

Love the Italian one - especially since when they were profiling everyone they thought to stick in Splinter. And it's fun to hear a different (but still Turtles-related) song up front.

I ran the Google search. That is a STRANGE romanization. They spelled and pronounced it right on the song.

And I'd still like to hear the Catalan version of the OT song. In Spanish they never made one for it- they just used the English OP and it would end with a spoken line saying "Las ninjatortugas adolescentes mutantes".

BTW, what is the romanized version of the Hebrew version? Do they use different words, or do they just say it with an accent?

Updates:

I just added a cammed Latin theme, the Japanese OP2 & ED2, an extra source for Russia & Spain, and replaced the Russian fake.

I wish I knew. My Babylon trial expired before I got that far. I wish I could find lyrics for all of these. That would be amazing for if I ever do make a site out of all this.

I'm curious about those second two Japanese ones, I've seen the Winds of Passion and Summer Fighter ones before but what are those two new ones called and what are they used for in Japan, season 2 maybe? Does anybody know?

Edit: Found part of the answer in another thread. Perminant Vacation is the second opening. But what's the name of the second closing song?

It's "Wojownicze" (plural for "combative" or "truculent"), not "Wojowniczy" (which is a singular form). Same goes for the old toon.

Fun fact: actor who voices Don in the new toon, sings this song. So it sounds like Don himself sang. I think there's also "Leo" in the background... and of course "ninjitsu, akcja!" is said by Mikey.

In Spanish, it is "Las Tortugas Ninja". I know that the Turtles are male. But in Spanish, turtles use the feminine article whether it is a male or a female. Same for rats.

Thank goodness that was fake. The real one is worthy of being an intro.

It's strange how fun it is to watch the same intro over and over, but in different languages. Maybe I'm a nerd, haha.

Someone wouldn't be so lucky as to have the Italian intro as an MP3, would they? It rocks!

I just updated and rearranged the first post of the thread.

It is now color-coded. Green entries are the ones that are already represented in video or audio format. Yellow is the bunch that I'm unsure if they're even worth tracking down (because either 2K3 doesn't exist in the territory or their theme went unaltered). And, the red is the bunch that I've already checked, and their themes aren't worth worrying about.

Also, you now have 20 MP3 downloads to choose from. ^_^ I tweaked them all to make them more uniform and maybe a tad more listenable, so the Polish theme only makes your ears bleed a little now. When I get around to buying a Polish DVD, I'll fix the problem. The MP3s of the Japanese themes are only the TV versions. Since these edits aren't available for purchase, that should be enough to avoid any infringement issues. Best case scenario would be that you listen to them so much that you get curious enough to buy the CD. ^_^ Support your artists, folks.

Great. Thanks gobo. Although I have to tell you, there seems to be an error on both the Latin-American MP3 and the Finnish one - i get a webpage saying that the url could not be found...

But apart from that, just snatched all the others

Thanks for letting me know. I just fixed them both. They were URL mix-ups. Since the Finnish theme is hosted by someone else, I had to go find it all over again. I'll host it myself if I ever get my hands on a DVD or find a YouTube video for it.

Do you have the full songs? I'd rather have the full version of Everybody than just the 'TV Version'.
