Archie Raph

Well anybody know why Raphael turned black all over during the Archie (I think) series. All the sudden I remember reading an Archie comic and seeing Raph covered in Black paint. Then every single archie comic following that issue had him covered in black.

Yes, that was Raph's uniform from his trip to Stump's Wrestling arena. After they returned home, Raph liked it so much, he kept wearing it for awhile. He does stop wearing it eventually, though.

what wrestling place was that the place where all of the aliens were? Thanks for clearing that up for me. Did he acutally say he liked wearing it or was that just implied?

It was the place with all the aliens in the beginning of the series. They got transported around by a giant flying cow's head. And while I don't have the issue that says it (there's a gap between my collected books) Raph does willingly wear the outfit even after they get their old clothes back. Says it's more ninja-like or something.

Yeah, I remember that. When they got back from Stump Asteroid, Leo scolded Raph for not changing into the traditional gear. Then Raph mentioned how the costume made him less detectable. Splinter praised Raph for thinking about the art of invisibility, and Raph gave Leo a really smug look. It was funny.
