Fav Tales issue?
Considering how every issue of Tales is a stand alone issue (with the exception of a few multiple issue arcs), I thought I would ask everyone what their favorite issue is.
I think probably my fav issue is vol.1 #2, the intorduction of Nobody. That issue brings back some great memories for me of my senior year in high school and a great TMNT memory in general. That issue is special to me not only because it was one of the first Mirage TMNT comics I ever owned, but I found it while I was working (for a far too brief amount of time) at a comic store sorting and organizing comics. It was there that I stumbled upon a long box full of Mirage vol.1 issues, which the owner of the store got to let me keep, and that was kinda my introduction into the Mirage TMNT universe (as a kid I owned a color reprint of Mirage TMNT vol.1 #18, but I didn't really understand the whole "Mirage" thing). Tales vol.2 #36 deserves mention as well. I loved how it dealt with the fall out from City at War, one of my fav TMNT stories.

I like the ones with Toddler Turtles. "Loops" part 1 and 2 stand out.

Worms of Madness was cool. And I loved Loops. I'd really like to read those newer city at war based stories.

Damn. Well, It's like this..I have enjoyed every single issue so far, so I can't realy claim a specific favorite. I liked aspects of some more than aspects of others, but not enough to choose one over the other. so I guess the only way to answer this is to demand more comics to read, and possibly pick a favorite. *smiles*

I got the Tales trade that came out recently, and I'd have to say that my favorite issue was probably the Leatherhead issue. As someone who saw the cartoon first, it was interesting to read that Leatherhead wasn't a bad guy originally.
I haven't read much of volume 2 yet, just a couple of issues I picked up the last time I went to a comic book store. |
