Jumping back in with both feet!

Hello all! I've been reading these forums for about a week now and it seemed like a great group to join. It's been some time since I've been sans turtles, but I'm jumping back in with both sensible feet.

About me: I grew up watching the original turtle toons with my brothers and sister. We all had our favorites, and loved it! Then the first movie came out and I must have seen it in the theaters at least 4 or 5 times. Then the video games. Then the comics. First mirage, then archie. I must have collected all the back issues there were (including all crossovers) up to around the year '90 or '91, except for having to settle for reprints of the first 3 issues of mirage. Then came the posters/toys/figures/t-shirts, etc. I joined the archies ninja turtle club (anyone else get the purple turtles bandana

?? ). It even came to the point I was contributing to the "save the sea turtles" cause and writing a school paper on the tmnt. Yes, it's true. And yet somehow later in life I was still able to find a sweet girl to marry.

For some reason in high school I gave away or sold all this stuff. I either lost interest, lost sanity, or thought it wasn't cool anymore. I don't remember. But I wish I never had gotten rid of any of it.

Now I've read this forum, got the turtle fever, and found myself jumping right back in. My wife playfully rolls the eyes, but I've got a little one to influence

. So I'm starting with the archie comics (in order) and the current saturday morning cartoons, and I'll just go from there. At any rate, I'm glad to be starting down the glorious green path, and loving it every bit of the way. I hope to contribute well, and am thankful for what I've taken. Glad to be here!

I've got a good feeling about Noah! Sounds like a cool dude.

I remember when I lost my turtle collection too. Acutally my mother threw all my stuff away when I was like 6 because I assalted my babysitter with a butter knife pretending to be a turtle. Man that was dumb of me.
