guess what I seen today......
Hello, I'd like to drop a line saying how something cool happened today...
Well anywhooo I work at TRU(toys r us) and today (saturday) I seen some kid with his dad and he was pulling his father into the store saying...look..look... back there the ninja turtles!! The father was like...huh?? the ninja turtles???...lol...it was really cool to see a new generation already kicking into the TMNT ..because for the TMNT to be a success...it really needs to capture that demographic... plus of course keep us on board... (I'm 19) Also it was funny to see the dads face like...huh??...what??.. the turtles?!?!.. Believe me I get tired of seeing kids come up to me...where's yu-gi-oh??? where's bey blades???...Harry Potter???...blah blah blah ...crap... seriously I know I'm speaking from a different generation but still the idea behind the storylines in pokemon, digimon, yugioh...and all that other stuff is just so simplistic and stupid....like kids today have no imagination (good job video games/t.v)..it's nice to see TMNT, MOTU,Transformers, and Gi-joe kicking back in...trying to steal away some spotlight from all that foreign card trading crap..just figured I'd let that out...lol |

Good to see companies are getting the idea that the old school fans are in need of 80's revivals like TF and TMNT, but in a new light...and for the new generation.

That's great and all, but it seems that you guys never even layed hands on the HP books. They are ALOT deeper than you think. (Ignore the movies.)
Also, Pokemon is a very deep Gameboy RPG. One of the best RPGs to come along in years among the Final Fantasys. (Damn kids and thier Crappy Pokemon Anime and Cards and side games.) The GB games is what it should of stayed as, instead of getting blown way out of proportion. Now, Yu-Gi-Oh, I'm not really into Card Games that mich, |

Wow, you work in a Toys R Us? I would probably put a bullet in my brain after a week of working in that type of place.

I think it's stupid saying video games cause kids to loose their imagination. It's as stupid as saying that they cause kids to become more violent (which is a completely stupid statement IMO). I agree, they can increase imagination. I guess it depends what kinds of games you play.

It's not the type of video game. It's the type of parent. Parents want their kids to live in la la land where there's no violence. So, they try and place the blame on movies and video games. They blame 'em for the way they raise their kids basically. "Junior get my beer!" "Hold on pah! I'm near done beaten this game!" "BOY! What I have told ya about them games? They bad for ya! Not get my beer!" If you don't want your kids exposed to it....DON'T LET THEM PLAY IT. Don't go and ruin it for us who do enjoy playing games. Sheesh, some Soccer moms. |

Well, I play games more violent games now, but I when I first started I didn't play games like the ones I do now. The first really violent game I ever played was Doom, it really was quite a beautiful moment for me. But look, I'm not a serial killer!
