Are we going to see Leo further his training with the ninja tribunal? (re: FF)

I know the stuff in 'the journal' was made up by Splinter and Cody, but do you think that's going to be a potential glimpse into the future of the turtles? I think so.

I've always envisioned Leo furthering his training (with the ninja tribunal) and eventually becoming a ninja master, and later training other people in ninjitsu. It fits his personality. I think it happened in the comics, where Leo became a ninja master and started to train other people in the ways of ninjitsu.

I've also envisioned Don helping April and Casey to form O'Neil Tech, Mikey eventually becoming a comic book writer, and Raph maybe going into wrestling or something? That stuff also fits into the individual personality of the turtles.

I think it would be a natural progression for the turtles to grow up, kinda go their separate ways and do their own thing. Yet, they are still close. They won't be kids, forever.

I am not saying it should happen in season seven, but it would be interesting if it happened towards the end of the series.

One could hope they keep with the continuity, and don't forget past characters.

I personally hope to see a return of -

- The Justice Force
- Usagi and Gen
- Leatherhead
- Bishop and Stockman
- Karai, Chaplin and the Foot
- Garbageman and the homeless dudes
- Angel, Casey, April and Sid
- Touch and Go, Hun, Purple Dragons
- Klunk

There are more, but people get the point. There is no excuse to forget the past characters just so they can focus on keeping people watching, by changing the theme of every season. I miss episodes pre FF where episodes felt like they had depth and character. FF while fun, didn't feel at all like 2k3, and didn't feel as slow paced.

Being a screenwriter, I kind of wished I had my hand at the TMNT brand. Had I had the money to have any say so, I'd keep this show on the air as long as Power Rangers has been on, but would keep to the code that you don't ditch characters so you can visit Cyberspace every episode (which I hope some episodes take place out of Cyberspace.)

Well, i doubt their gonna choose to separate the turtles in the cartoon series, the Tribunal thing I'd say is done, they served their purpose with that...and the training other people in ninjitsu bit, the turtles already did that with Cody, though they might do it again.

They actually did that in the original series tho. Splinter left them cuz he thought he had taught them enough (so he just flat out abandoned em! ) and the turtles went their seperate ways. Don got a job at a fix it store, Raph became a clown for kid's parties, Mike became a tv cook on the Food Network, and Leo continued fighting crime (till he seemingly "died"). This happened in an ep. I forget which season tho.

Yeah, they also did in the new series with the Reality Check, Across the Universe, SAINW, and Real World eps. I meant I don't think they'll separate them for long-term periods. That episode by the way was Splinter Vanishes, season 4.

But he really didn't leave them, did he? He came back later, and they also faced Leatherhead and Rat King teaming up in that episode.

Yeap, Splinter did come back. It was one of my most faviorite epsidoes of the old TMNT.

Also, I think it would be cool to see the guys go their sepearate ways for a while. THey did that in the comics and then they came back together. I really LOVE leo and I think it would be great to see him continue his training.

It was not serious training with Cody. The turtles are not done training themselves.

I think them going their seperate ways towads the end of the series would be realistic, because the four all have different interests and different personalities. They can't be together all the time. IMO, they should have their own lives. They can't remain teenagers forever.

People have different lives and yet are close everyday. So the turtles going their separate ways and living their own lives would be a natural progression with their characters. This did happen in the comics.

Leo going higher in his training to the point where he becomes a ninja master and starts training others in ninjitsu fits his personality. I think that's the only time we see the ninja tribunal again, is when and if they send for Leo so Leo can further his training and become a ninja master. He's always wanted to better himself and since he's very dedicated and has a personality that's closest to Splinter's, I can easily see him becoming a ninja master and passing on the legacy that started with the tribunal themselves, than went to the ancient one, than to Yoshi, than to Splinter, and than to the turtles. I believe this did happen in the comics, where Leo becomes a ninja master and even trains other people.

Don helping April and Casey to establish O'Neil tech fits his personality as well. Don is a genius and its already been said in FF that Don helps to get O'Neil Tech off the ground.

Mikey loves comic books and it would be realistic to see him becoming a comic book writer, somewhat like what happened in the comics.

Raph would do something radical, like becoming a wrestler or something. Or he could go to Japan and hang out with Joi.

You just described the way the series should end. That's perfect.

Maybe so, but the fact still remains the turtles aren't like ordinary people, and closeness does happen between family members and friends whether they live together or separately, but when a family's lives have a daily routine of fighting to stay alive and protect innocents as well as each other, that tends to develop a much stronger closeness than is normal, plus the turtles differences in personality play of each other, that's part of what makes it watchable. The "team and family" theme is the best part of the turtles in my opinion. I'm more than certain they're be more individual eps to come, but I honestly think permanently putting each turtle on a separate ledger is unlikely. The comics may have separated them, but the last cartoon series & the movie series ended with them together. That thing with Cody, well not the most exciting thing in the series, but still a nice little accomplishment on their part...and the thing about training, even if any were to become masters, a ninja can never really afford to be done with training.

And families who are close are not always together. The turtles all have different personalities and different interests. Their lives are not always going to revolve around each other.

The guys are not always going to be kids and Splinter will not always be able to protect them all the time. The time is going to come when the guys will grow up and eventually go their separate ways. Its just the way it is.

Just because fans may have sentimental issues in wanting the guys together all the time, it does not mean that's its going to happen. The guys will always be brothers. They will always be close. They will always be there for each other. At the same time, it does not mean that their entire lives have to always revolve around each other, either. They are allowed to have their own lives, just like the next person.

Besides, the series ending with the guys going their separate ways and doing their own thing would be a natural progression in their growth.

I brought up Leo training with the tribunal to become a master, because honestly, it fits his personality with him seeking to always learn, and never being satisfied with where he's at. He would definately want to pass down the legacy that pretty much started with the tribunal themselves, and went to the ancient one, to yoshi, to splinter, and to the turtles themselves.

While Don, Mike, and Raph will always be ninjas, they do have other interests as well as they should. Don is a genius, and Mikey could become a writer like he does in the comics. They shouldn't stop pursuing their own dreams for their brothers or anyone else. Don playing a huge role in O'Neil Tech being formed makes sense, with Don being a genius and always working with April or Leatherhead on inventions among other things.

This would be a fantastic ending to TMNT. The only medium in which I have seen something close to this be established would be in the Archie comics. In the future, Leo was a martial arts instructor, Donnie had a tech empire, and I do not remember what Raphael and Mikey did.

In fact, I think it would be a better ending than what is going on in Mirage right now.

Most likely not since Leo would be seperated from the others. And he would much rather be trained by the Ancient One than the Tribunal.

The Journal was written by Cody and Splinter to teach the turtles a lesson. It wasn't real.
