I would want live-action and use CG for special effects and stunt stuff, like the Spider-Man movies.

I understand that may not be financially feasible... wait a minute, yes it would be. I think the TMNT have every bit of potential to be a giant money-making movie franchise, but you'd need a studio that recognizes this potential with the courage to take the financial risk and understands that the Turtles don't have to be for the little ones.

If they made a TMNT of live-action summer blockbuster proportions, the audience would be there.

That said, I honestly don't care what the next TMNT movie will be - as long as it doesn't suck.

EDIT: The "Sin City Style" would be awesome too if they were directly adapting issues.

Didn't we already get a new movie?

I also go with "Live Action with CGI". The Live Action suits from the first movie had such a charm about them that you really can't reproduce with CGI. I think it would seem a bit more marketable then...you know, going against the whole "CGI IZ DA WAY OF THE FUTURE!!" thing Hollywood has going on right now. That being said...

CGI Turtles and Splinter.

Human actors for human characters- April, Casey, Karai, and the sort.

Suitimation is the best, but it also works very well in conjunction with CGI. Combine the two and you have a winner. With the rest of the world and characters being real.

Ugh! No offense, but that would be horrible. i'd rather see it all CGI, and not a bunch of CGI Turtles pasted in. Thank God they didn't do that. it would have been so artificial.

Personally, I'm going the None of the above route. I'm talking 2-D traditional hand drawn animation. maybe digitally colored, but a 2-D animated film. Maybe something allong the lines of Persepolis, having it all black and white like the original comics.

My dream TMNT movie would be in traditional 2D. Hopefully more like Gargoyles in look and tone than anime. Full animation and good color choices, etc. Though it would be cool to see what they could do in a black and white, comic-styled animation. The play of shadow/light could be freaking awesome. Of course it'd never happen because they'd probably want to make it cheap (and while you can do cheap 2D, you can't do GOOD cheap 2D).

Coming in 2nd place for me is another full CGI film, but with better character designs for the humans. Didn't mind the Turtles (though of course if I were in charge there'd be a few tweaks there too) but the humans really stood out the last time. (Oh, and it would need better dialogue writing, but that has nothing to do with the medium).

Live/CGI could be cool if done perfectly, but I don't think the current process has come quite far enough for it to work with Turtles. Remember, you're probably going to have to be able to shoot scenes with punks getting invisibly beat up, then be able to do the Turtles believably enough that they actually look like they're delivering the blows. Not to mention the human/CG character acting that needs to be spot on between Turtles/April/Casey. And the compositing and lighting that needs to be flawless so they don't just look pasted in (like the dragon looked in "Eragon" ...*shudder*) That would be expensive. TMNT aren't taken seriously enough in Hollywood for that kind of financial risk, and Mr. Laird's pockets probably don't go that deep.

Definitely Live action as much as they possibly can and add in CGI for certain aspects. I always think Hellboy is such a good example of what can done when you blend costume and digital.

If they couldn't do that then 2D would be my second choice, of course that brings up all sort of debate on what style to use.

If they did a live-action movie with full CG turtles, it wouldn't be invisible fighting. They'd put somebody there ala Andy Syrkis as Gollum.

doing half suit/half CGI would be the way to go in live action I think

This reminded me how much of a bummer it was that we didn't get to see the black and white testing version of the 4th movie on the dvd...supposively it looked awesome.

I'd go with either some nice hand drawn animation(black and white or color) or a big budget all live action movie.

Live Action with the looks and feel of TMNT1 with improved animatronics, original voices and original Case & Ape

if not that, full CGI like TMNT4 with the same feeling, more drama, and no dorky storyline
