Building a Shredder helmet.. ideas?

I'm currently constructing a Shredder costume for a friends themed birthday party that is taking place in a few weeks. The only problem that I am encountering is making the helmet.

Just wondering if anyone here has made one before and if so do they have any tips that they could pass on.
