Tales of Michelangelo

ninjaturtles.com has info on this year's 4 part mini, Michelangelo: The Third Kind.

First issue comes out in September

Quote:
The first book of this four-issue mini-series kicks off during the events that occurred during TMNT Volume Four #5, specifically the time period immediately following the arrival of the Utrom’s “Moon Island” on Earth. Michelangelo is swept up in the tension and chaos that grips New York in the wake of humanity's first contact with alien life!
Sounds interesting!

Sounds lame... So much for Mike having a worthwhile solo.

Nothing will ever compare to the awesomeness that is Blind Sight..

But hopefully The Third Kind won't be as horrible as Bad Moon Rising was...ugh....

Why not? I mean really, why the hell are the standards for this comic book so damn low?

At least Bad Moon Rising had the pretty covers.

I think it sounds interesting too, the initial impact of first contact with an alien race wasn't really explored in Volume 4, which was something that annoyed me.
Certainly sounds better than Raph's solo Tales anyway, like there will be more
drama.

Man, they've been cramming a LOT of stories into that little gap of time between issues.

Ah well. We'll see how it goes.

Lol. Wow. Somone who said It before I had to. Wish they'd just pay Tony for his "Turtle Turncoat" and use it as a mini.

It sound intersting, it could tye into how he got pulled into becoming a go-between diplomatetic job for the aliens in vol 4.

But i would have really have liked a follow up on the his issues of following the path of a warrior like in that tales comic The Path, and delved deeper into what make Michaelangelo tick.

Exactly. It seems more and more like these stories are being written just for the sake of being written and without any effort to tell a worthwhile story.

**sigh** Michaelangelo is the most over looked turtle when it comes to things like this in the comics. It's a shame, there is more to the guy than the foil of the team or the kick butt ninja. The Path came the closest to what I want to see explored about Michaelangelo's character, and I wish they would give more.

But I'm not going to to prejudge about the depth of the mico series until I see it, maybe we'll be suprised.

I think it'll be interesting. I don't know if it'll take four issues, but this will probably show how he became a facilator.

Where'd you get that idea? I thought Mirage officially gave up on color when they ended Vol. 2.

I think you are too.

The mini looks interesting. I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for it. Has there been any word yet on the next Tales TPB? I think 5 or 6 was the last one, but I haven't heard anything about the next one yet. I hope they're still planning on continuing them.
