A question about the Shredder artifacts from Lost Season

In Lap of the gods when Splinter and the ancient one show up, the Ninja Tribunal informs the turtles that two artifacts were stolen from them. I think this is in the third act early on. The guys seem to take this in without question. But later on, we learn that the artifacts were separated for specific reasons. Is this a plot hole, or was the Tribunal telling the green team a lie so as not to reveal this great evil until a more appropriate time? In Demons and Dragons, Raph even reiterates the fact that the first two items were stolen from the Tribunal. Did I miss something?
I was thinking that the tribunal fibbed a bit so as not to reveal too much information about their origins and their connection with said great evil in LOTG. Or could these two artifacts have been stolen some time before the guys arrived in Japan? I've already seen all the eps and tried looking up info on the Net concerning all this but so far it has proven to be a bust. Any info concerning the disposition of these artifacts would be very much appreciated. I'm totally blind so I probably missed a few visual tidbits. Dialogue is great but there are times when it just isn't enough to satisfy my curiosity.

You know, now that you mention it, I'm not sure either. I think in Fathers and Sons, or what ever episode the kid TMNT and Splinter return to Japan with Yoshi's ashes, the 3 artifacts are seperated, but all kept by the tribunal. I'd have to re-watch the season, or maybe just those episodes to be sure, but I'm sure they were all under the Tribunals' watchful eyes, just seperated, for obvious reasons.

Thanks buddy. That's what I was thinking as well. I remember Splinter and the ancient one talking about the artifacts being hidden under the pool of sorrows in Fathers and Sons. I want to say that in those early days, they might have been hidden in one place? I remember the bone demon hissing something about "the artifacts" being beneath the pool and him having to separate the waters with his amulet. Thanks for your help.

Huh? When do we learn this? As I understand it, the articles were stolen sometime between Fathers and Sons and the beginning of the arc, and there is nothing said in the series that contradicts that.

If they were truly "stolen" then I'm sure the Tribunal would have gone to get them. They may have been "stolen" but the Tribunal let the demons keep them so they could send the acolytes to get them as their training.

Yeah, that's true too. You'd think that since these artifacts meant so much to the four tribunal members, they'd have guarded them just a liiittle better. When they mentioned that said items were stolen after Splinter and ancient one showed up, that confused me a bit because later on whenever they bring the Shredder helmet back to the lap of the gods, the tribunal don't even care about Leonardo being wounded. I thought to myself,"Ok, so if you care about your precious artifacts so much, why'd you let them be taken from ya right out from under your noses?" I guess it does make sense if this is supposed to further the training of the TMNT and the other four, but allowing the demons to make off with artifacts that could bring about the destruction of the entire world? wow... Just... wow...

In Legend of the five dragons, we learn that the artifacts were separated and guarded by the Tribunal. But in act III of Lap of the gods, right after Splinter and the ancient one show up, we are told that they were stolen. I was wondering if this happened off screen. I mean, these artifacts seem way too important to just be stolen right out from under the noses of the tribunal. They've trained warriors for centuries to protect these things. This little tidbit of info occurs in act III right before the attack of the fire demon if that helps. Its when we first hear of the artifacts. They're not in Lap of the gods, but they're mentioned. I missed that the first time I watched it on youtube but now that I own the Ninja Tribunal arc on dvd, I had more time to notice the reference. I just wanna know what everyone else thinks. I'm not trying to point out plot holes or anything because I really enjoy this particular season.

The demons may have made off with the artifacts BUT can the demons really do anything with them other than guard them? I don't think the demons have the power to ressurect the true Shredhead like the heralds do.
