Which character's theme music in the new toon is your favorite?

It seems as if every character and organization has their own signature theme in the 2k3 toon. So which do you prefer? I have alot of favorites since I appreciate this type of thing. For example, I enjoy the various themes given to the devisions of the Foot. The Foot Ninja have their own, as well as the Foot Elite, the Foot Tech Ninjas, and especially the Elite. I'd have to say that the Foot Mystic theme is my favorite out of the lot though.
Shredder has two or three similar pieces of music that introduce him whenever he appears. Utrom Shredder, I mean. When he's in his Saki garb, it is toned down alot, but it is still apparent. But when he's garbed in his battle armor, it is in your face and lets you know that play time is at an end. They even gave a similar theme to Futal Shredder from Secret Origins, very similar to his modern theme but minus the vocals and heavier on the brass instruments. I love all his theme variations regardless. Not to mention the theme music belonging to Karai, Hun, Stockman, and Agent Bishop. The music used to introduce the Ninja Tribunal at the end of Tale of Master Yoshi is also terrific, as well as the new music in the following 5th season. I've only seen the FF eps a few times but I really liked Shokanabo's theme from that season.
There are far too many to list in this thread starter, but if any of you have the time, let me know which of these or the numerous others you enjoy, and which ones seem to get stuck in your head long after the episode is over. Just me being a curious orchestral music lover here.

I like the Splinter one, the April one, and the general Foot one. The Shredder one sounds ominous- which is cool.

I think Splinter has about 2, they're both my favorite.

Yeah you're right. He's got two alright. One seems to be used alot for those scenes in which he's meditating or in deep thought or saying something really philosophical. I wanna say that Yoshi has a very similar theme in Tale of Master Yoshi from S4. They did a good job at making it rather sad when he was saying good bye to the ancient one as he traveled to NYC. There was a scene in Bishop's Gambit when Bishop and Splinter were fighting, I think this was in act 4, and you hear a varied bit of Splinter theme mixed in with Bishop's right before that big explosion. The one which causes him to be impaled on a hook.(Sucks to be you, Bishop.) Anyway, that little bit of music was so artistically done. But yeah, Splinter's music is great no matter the variation.

My two favorite themes are the main theme played when the Foot Elite Guard first started to appear and my very top favorite theme is the Oroku Saki theme (for example the music played when Leonardo first goes to meet Saki alone in "The Shredder Strikes Part 1") and it is again played (I believe the only time when Saki is actually dressed as Shredder) at the end of "Return To New York Part 2" when Shredder walks out and says "Astute as usual, Leonardo. I don't know how you managed to survive our last encounter...blah blah blah". I absolutely love that theme in the background. It's so dark and sinister sounding and makes Shredder seem far more menacing than I remember him from the original 1987 cartoon. I was so bummed when they didn't play that theme even once during the Ninja Tribunal season after the demon Shredder appeared as it would have fit the atmosphere and his character perfectly. I will however say that I hate the 'Splinter scream' they always use during another Shredder theme at the end where you just hear Splinter scream "Yooooooooo!" Gah! Gets on my nerves!

Another theme I like is the solemn sounding theme they play whenever someone is badly injured or dying (the most recent example was in the Ninja Tribunal season when Tora was dying and Michelangelo was talking to him.)

I assure you, that's not Splinter. It's a common sound effect like the wilhelm scream or the girly grunt. It was used for the title screen of the Tenchi Muyo! OVA anime, and I've seen it used once or twice in other animes as well.

Seriously? Tenchi Muyo? hehe! I'm gonna have to look that one up! Thanks for that info. Pretty interesting!

Yeah, Saki's theme is great! If you watch Things Change, we hear that one or something very similar when we see Saki displeased with his Purple Dragon thug at the end of the episode. That scene always gives me goosebumps because you know from the tone that this isn't the 1987 Shredder we all know and love. This guy's a heck of alot meaner. I think it was interesting that we first saw him without his armor. But I guess it is worth it when we see him all decked out in his battle suit in The Shredder Strikes.
You're right. No Saki theme in Ninja Tribunal, I don't think. There's your basic Shredder theme but no toned down version for Saki. But maybe we'll hear it again in season 7?

For real? I honestly didn't know and thought it sounded identical to an enhanced Splinter yell. Nonetheless it still irritates the crap out of me whenever they play it.

Yep, that's it! I know it is played in a few other episodes as well, but I was just naming the episodes I know it was in that I watch the most often. But yep, I really like it as it really helps set the mood for how dark and dangerous he really is.

Completely off topic but as someone who grew up with the Ninja Turtles in the 80's (until X-Men won me over in 1991) I have to say I cannot understand how anyone can like the 80's cartoon more than the 2003 one. Sure, the altering of Shredder's origin was a stupid move, but overall for me, it's no contest. I so much prefer the 2003 series over the 1987 one. It is almost tied with X-Men as my top favorite action cartoon of all time (it still makes me mad as hell that no one will release X-Men on dvd season sets). I just wish Funimation would stop waiting months in between releasing each new part of each season on dvd. I wanted to have the whole series on dvd before BTTS began. Obviously, that won't happen now. But my sister, who also loved Ninja Turtles refuses to watch these new ones because she thinks the turtles look 'evil' with no pupils.

Yeah, I like this series better than the 1987 toon also. I'll always treasure that show because I grew up with it, but I love this show due to its darker tone and the plot continuity. I love a show with lots of 2 to 5 part story arcs. I've never really been a fan of one shot episode series. They don't make ya think as much.
Yep, I feel the same way about X-Men. I absolutely loved that series too.
As for owning the series on dvd, I picked up all the single dvd sets they released over the years from volume 1 Attack of the Mousers in 2k3 to The Ninja Tribunal relased May 20th. So I have all the episodes but Funimation released alot of them out of order. Thank God I downloaded an episode guide so I can memorize all the ep numbers. I'll definetly double dip because I want two copies of every episode. So I'll buy each part of a season when they come out. yep, I love the show that much. hehe!

Since I take it you guys don't remember my very similar thread from a couple of weeks ago, I'll repost these links as they are at least somewhat relevant: DVD menu audios (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & FF2 which I really wish I had names for) and "Acolyte Theme", "Japan Arrival", "Mystic" and "Dragons Versus The Shredder" all from The Lost Episodes (and courtesy of 4kids.tv) as well as "The Shredder" from much earlier in the series (and also courtesy of 4kids.tv). Another member four years ago had given DVD menu 4 the name, "April's Apartment", but I can't seem to remember the name. I'd recognize it if I heard it... Anyhow, someone just mentioned that one, so here it is.

Please pardon the double-post, but does anyone happen to remember a jukebox feature on the old foxbox site? It existed four years ago at http://www.foxbox.tv/tmnt/mik.html. I think I checked it out maybe once while it was around. Now, I could just kick myself for not taking down titles and/or comparing them with the DVD menus. Also, a user named Zoron claimed to have all this music on his personal site at http://www.shredderselite.cjb.net/. Unfortunately, that's no longer around either...

I love that show....I should buy me a Ryo'Oki plushie someday...cutest little cabbit (half cat/half rabbit) space ship ever!!

I've been kinda wanting to give anime a go so now I guess I should look into this show! I have a cousin who absolutely loves anime and I knew that "yuo" sounded familiar when I started watching the new toon!
