Who would buy the original live action trilogy on BLURAY?

I'm just curious to know those of us members would would want to have the original live action Trilogy re-masterered in hi-def on blu-ray? I know there are those of us who don't like 2 or 3 (in particular) but to keep the interest alive, I would love to have the whole trilogy re-mastered in bluray. I bought my PS3 last July and TMNT was my first bluray and I was mighty impressed with the quality. The first live action movie of course will ALWAYS be my favorite!!! Any thoughts?

I'd definately buy them...ofcourse I'd only take the third one if it came with the other two...seeing as that movie makes my eyes bleed.

Hell no. I'm fine with my DVD's, plus in Blu-Ray we'd just see more creepy stuff like the actor's mouths inside the turtle throats.

I have no reason to buy a Blu-ray so no. I just want a special edition of the TMNT Trilogy with deleted scenes.

I'm afraid I have to agree with deathknight. I don't care for Blueray. If they are going to re-release a three pack, might as well give us a reason to buy it. perhaps some actual bonus features besides a sewer maze "game" and character bios.

Yeah I could care less about blu-ray. The dvd quality wasn't improved or anything so what makes you think that the quality for bluray could be superb. I prefer a special edition set mainly for the first movie.

Well, ideally - and probably most logically - they would remaster the film and release it with new extras on DVD and Blu-ray at the same time.

I have bought them on DVD, so unless it was a tremendious package (tons of special features people) I would see no point into buying them again.

If they remastered it, I'd say that'd be worth it alone. The video quality is unfortunately quite poor on the existing DVDs.

I already own it on DVD and it's enough. Besides, I'm not interested in Blu-Ray. I don't care how much a movie can be remasterized. I just want to watch a goodamn movie without worrying about the picture quality.

I'd probably only buy the first of the three, honestly, and that's only if it had a significantly better transfer and/or a lot of good bonus features. I haven't felt the need to buy the second or third movies on DVD in all this time, so I doubt I'd bother getting those.

I would if there were a bunch of features on it, but that just echoes others' sentiments.

Yes! ...and if they're at it, I would LOVE to see the original cut of the first film. Maybe a BLADE RUNNER/CLOSE ENCOUNTERS-type release with several different cuts? Unproduced and early script drafts would be a fantastic feature, as well...

...and for those of you that "dont' see any difference in quality with BR and DVD"... you obviously haven't viewed any BR material on a properly set-up system. The quality is amazing...

Blu-ray, green-ray, red-ray.... who cares. Just pull the lame 3 disk set with the lame no bonus features disks and make some special editions. I'm sure if they can scour around enough, they could find stuff. A director's commentary. SOMETHING.

You dropped the ball NOT re-releasing a special edition with free movie ticket to promote the movie, Warners (and yet, they have stuff like Big Mama's House, the "The Sequal's coming" edition with 1 extra deleted sequence, 2 more documentaries, all using clips from prior documentaries, and a different cover).

Unlike everyone else here I don't like technologically inferior products so I would love it remastered. Then again the digital switch over doesn't bother me either because I bought a new TV in the past 10 years. I hate to sound mean but seriously get with the times. How long did it take you give up your VHS copies and buy the DVDs? Jesus.

Special features or not it would be good for the franchise. Since most other people are making the switch to Blu-ray and most people will own a Blu-ray player by Christmas I see it as a great chance to get some more family films onto the HD format. That's a selling point for parents with kids.

Haha this is a great post, exactly what I was thinking. I don't have a blu ray player yet, but I've seen what they do and I'd really want one if I could afford.

A little off topic about the digital switch over...but why are people confused about this? Every old person I hear thinks they need to buy an hdtv...just as long as your tv isn't a thousand years old with antennas its fine.
