So I recently rediscovered my obsession...

Hey guys!

Little ol' Swede here just popping by to inspect one of the biggest TMNT communities I've found!

I grew up with the Archie Comics. TMNT Adventures, or Teenage mutant Hero Turtles as they were called here (or Turtlesmagazines, as we affectionately called them) were the mainstaple of my comic collection and by the time I stopped reading, they were litterally worn down to almost nothing from constant reading.

Believe my anger and frustration when my entire comic collection was discovered ruined by moisture in the family basement.

So anyways, life went on, I grew a little older and wiser, and now I've realized again how crazy obsessed I was with the turtles. We got the Mirage Toon as well, and I'm currently scouring my telephone list to see if people still have their old VHS cassettes lying around.

I DID discover something interesting in my foray into my old hobbies. Apparantly the royal library of Stockholm, very close to where I live, retain ALL publications that's been made these last hundred years. So, guess where I'm going?

They even offer about 25 megs of high-resolution scanning for... err... close to 45 bucks. I'm planning on maybe getting them a little at a time for sentimental value. Plus, I still want to read them! The swedish issues carried not only the Adventures, but most of the small side-stories and such as well. So, here's to hoping it turns out well!

Erk, rambling.

Anyway, I'm also interested in roleplaying quite a bit! I'm not familiar with the later series, I kinda labelled them as "Heresy" as soon as I saw them (can you blame me? Look at what they're doing to our childhood memories? Transformers! Transformers! T_T ), but I've heard some good stuff about them as well, so I'm thinking of checking it out.

Basically, I'm a Mirage TV/Archie Fanboy, I absolutely adored the artwork of the comics and I'm trying my hand at some inspirational drawings as well.

Oh yeah, I have about a bazillion other hobbies as well, so don't be surprised if I stealth-butt in on other discussions.

Lastly, I chose the CeeJ nick because it was, sadly, the best I could come up with. :p Real-name's a secret, but those are my first and middlename initials right there.

Yeah, very original. Nice to meet you guys!

Ohh man, that is a tragedy. I feel your pain.

See you on the boards!

Yeah, there were a LOT of comics.

None of them were what you'd call pristine, of course, but it was about 15 years of constant comic love that went the way of the Dodo.

It still irks me to think about it, I had invested a lot of love into them.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome
