How many times have you watched...

I know some of you folks more turtle-crazy than me, so let's see who's watched what more.

(These are rough estimates, but they can't be far off)
First movie - about 80 times
First season of OT - about 50 times
"Things Change" - about 60 times

I actually wore out my VHS copy of TMNT '90

I've seen every old toon episode on DVD a million times. I actually watch it in my sleep. I put a disk in when I go to bed and fall asleep to it every night. It's a weird habit I formed after having a roommate who snores. I used to have to put the DVDs on to drown out his snoring so I could sleep.

As for the movies no idea. I know as a kid I watched Turtles 2 once a week a very least; the tape is trashed all my turtles tapes are trashed. When I got the DVDs I watch them maybe once or twice a years.

As for 2K3 I don't watch it that often. I watch it when I eat sometimes. I normally leave it alone for awhile and watch it in order when I do. The longer i wait to watch it the more I enjoy it. The earlier episodes especially.

I never kept a tally, but my estimates are probably a bit lower than Nines is. I'd say I watched the film about 40 times over the years, the old toon maybe a little more than that, and the new show probably less than 20. Like Spitfire, the less I watch it, the more I appreciate it.

First Movie -- Probably almost every day for about five years or so. Then it started thinning out from there since I can pretty much recite the movie (lines, music, and sound effects) in my head. That, and I got ahold of the comics they were based off of.

First Season of OT -- I saw the fthird and fourth episodes about once a week until I was about nine. Then all five became available to me and for the next year of so I saw those episodes at least once or twice a week. Then, like the above, I got ahold of the comics.

"Things Change" -- Enough that I generally avoid the first several episodes of the first season so that I don't get burned out on it.

I dont think I can figure out how many time I have seen the first film because I watched it constantly from the time it hit the theater to recently.
I know when I was a kid I watched it everyday for a long time.

Same thing with the OT, between watching it on tv and then on my VHS(s) it has just been years of collectively watching it.

I think I can safely say I have only see the 3rd movie a few dozen times (mostly again from when I was younger) because I always liked 1 and 2 better.

NT probably hundreds of times as well like the OT because I just put them on a lot, they are even just on in the background when I am doing other things. When I was in college 2K3 was always on in the background while I did my animation projects. I even still get up to watch it on Saturday mornings despite the fact I have them on DVD

You're talking to the guy who took the time to try to make a list of tidbits from the OT. I've watched them all tons of times, with Things Change being the one I've probably watched the least.

Good question.

Let me have an estimate:

First 3 movies - about 3-4 times each

CGI movie - more than 20 times

First season of OT - about 3 times (but not all episodes, still hunting for them though)

First season of NT - more than 60 times (I had this habit of feeding the DVD in my player, let the episodes play while I'm multitasking cooking, cleaning or just chilling out. I just had to minimize on the habit when the DVD became so scratched already that a couple of episodes freeze or stop on me.)

"Things Change" - more than 60 times

"The Shredder Strikes Back (1)" - more than 90 times (up to the point that I had a headcount of how many Foot did Leo faced)

"The Shredder Strikes Back (2)" - more than 70 times (I liked it when Mikey said, "Can we call a timeout or something?")

I come nowhere near y'all. The ones I have watched the most are my fave episodes of 2k3- and it would still be less than 10x.

Woah? You serious? And you have almost 2,000 posts in this forum already. It's either you have a photographical memory or a genius. I mean, before I can spot a unique trivia, etc. (meaning no one has posted it yet in a site I want to contribute to) it took me more than twice to get watch the a certain ep. Then you have to watch it again to be sure and again. Like for example in the ep THe Shredder Strikes Back (2) in the NT: Leo had his swords in the sheaths at his back while Shredder was in front of him, the next seconds, the swords plus the sheaths are gone, then back again strapped to his shell.

Let me give you a concrete example:
http://www.tv.com/teenage-mutant-nin...st;ep_title;16

where I posted:
Mikey landed four plates of scrambled eggs and a plate of pancakes on the dining table. A few seconds later, Master Splinter, April, Raph, Don, and Mikey each has a plate of scrambled eggs, making it five.

and
Leo single-handedly faced 41 sword-wielding Foot Ninja, three Foot Tech Ninja, the Purple Dragon leader Hun, the four Elite Ninja, and the Shredder himself in this episode.
though, 41 was not my original number of the sword-wieling. The editor edited my post. Now, that I've remembered it, gotta watch that ep again.

The first movie: maybe 20 times

SOTO (My VHS tape of it is almost complete garbage): at least 40 times

TMNT III: About five times

The 2k3 show: Maybe 3-4 times per ep I have seen--plus I kind of slacked off during maybe the third season.

The OT: The first season at least thrice per episode, and a few scattered eps from other seasons as well

The 2k7 Movie: Once

The Next Mutation: Never, although I did see the Power Rangers
(In Space?)/TMNT crossover.

First movie, when it came out in the theaters, became the first movie I went to see by myself and at multiple viewings to boot. I saw it in the theater 6 times. And then, when it came out on VHS, I remember watching that thing like a religion every single day for the rest of the year. I think it was when we actually moved from that house and the movie was misplaced that it finally got worn out of me for a time. So I will give a rough estimate to having watched this movie close to 400 times in my life. But most of it, like I said, was from me watching it every day for over a year. 360 days in a year, it's quick to rack up that amount of time.

TMNT 2, I actually will buck all of your trends and say I liked it, alot. I ended up seeing that one in the theater 3 times. Over all, I probably have seen this one close to 25 times.

TMNT 3, once in the theater, and I have probably watched it close to ten times.

OT, I remember watching it every Saturday and every day after school at about 3:30 on the weekdays, for several years. But I stopped watching it about a year after the second movie, and haven't watched enough episodes to remember them clearly.

NT, I came late into this game. I never knew it was on until oneday, friends and I were having fun on the internet, going through all of the old shows we used to watch when I stumbled on the 2k3 toon. I don't always get to watch it on Saturday, I just don't have the time, but have watched the first season probably about 10 times now. I've also watched many of the City at War story arces close to 10 times now as well.

And as for the lates movie, I've seen it in the theater 5 times, and all together, close to 30 times.

Oh, and I have read Meet Casey Jones about 5 times, not too bad for someone who is really not into comic books at all.

TMNT 1-3: Each one in the theater, then at least 40-50 times each, even closer to 100 times for TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze. What can I say? When I was 8 I liked Vanilla Ice a lot and once I got it on VHS for my birthday I made watching it an almost daily event. I feel no shame, it's not like I still like Vanilla Ice and let's face it, Tokka & Rahzar are freakin' awesome.

TMNT 2K7: Twice in the theater, about 5-7 times since I bought the DVD.

TMNT OT: Varies wildly, but a few of my all-time favorites like Cowabunga Shredhead and all the Usagi episodes I've seen over 100 times. I've watched every episode at least a few times and on average I'd guess 5-10 times per episode.

TMNT 2K3/FF: I've watched the entire series in order 3 times through, but I'm always rewatching my favorite episodes, like anything with Triceratons or (once more) Usagi appearances. Some of the episodes I've seen like 20 times. Ninja Tribunal has been like practically stuck in my player on repeat since it came out on DVD.

WOAH... come to think of it... I might have too much time on my hands.

First movie: too many time to count. i would probably say about 200-300 times.

Seconds movie: about 100 times

Third movie: About 30 times.

Fourth Movie: about 10 times. got tired of it fast, dont know why.

OT: seen only about 130 episodes of it and watches the whole first and second season about every two months.

NT: ive seen evry episode and watches at least an episode a week (thx to 4kids.tv!)

Criminy, I couldn't tell ya how many times I've watched TMNT since it came out when I was 11. Not as many as Lil G, that's for sure!

I recorded the first 3 movies onto one VHS tape, so I'll put it in and watch them in order over the course of a few days. Rewind, do it again when I'm in the mood. After I bought IV I watched it like, every night for a month straight. I watched OT every day as a kid, but even still there's lots of episodes I've missed, and I quit watching later in the series (Red Sky era?). Am going through NT for the first time, haven't seen any FF, and only a couple episodes of NM. The concert tape I've seen no more than a dozen times, tops.

I,II,III - one time each.

2007 - two times. I could barely sit through the second watching, tho'.

Cartoons - much more, although I doubt I reached 10 times with any of episodes.

I can't believe some people watched the first movie, like, way over 20 times. It's something that really creeps me out.

And you're, like, 12?

Time to start watching something else in your life.

Creeps you out? I know you can't help the way you feel, but do you have to be such a dick? I used to watch the **** out of it when I was 11, but now only once or twice a year, I don't see anything creepy about that.
