I haven't been to any dollar stores in some time but now that you said this i'll go on wed. and check it out.
Thanks for the heads up on the wal-mart in new orleans, I've been trying to tell people this crap is going on at wal-marts here on the east coast but no one wants to believe me or take it seriously.
This must be brought to the attention of the higher-ups.

You honestly think they don't know?

It's time to give up, Vaughn. Mirage obviously doesn't care about the Turtles anymore. It's just money to them, nothing more. Let them die and fade away.

You're not giving up on that DVD and I'm going to prove to them that they have an epic fail on their hands.
Wal-Mart is first, who's Next? Toys R Us? Target? oh wait after them that means there's nothing left.
Perhaps you're right Rose and maybe it's all part of the plan and they do want them just to die and fade away.

Well it's a bit of an oxymoron to want them to die and fade away but all they care about it money. I just think there's nothing happening with turtles right now so no ones selling it. When it comes back on TV or a new movie is released I expect to see a rise in turtles merch. Also keep in mind it's not all Mirage, Playmates has say in what happens, so does 4Kids.

Yeah, I have pretty much given up on the DVD thing. On everything, really.

I figure I'll give the DVD thing two more updates with pictures and script excerpts and I'll send off the package to WB I had in mind, but that's all I'm giving.

I'm the only damn person putting in serious effort on the DVD crap, but at the same time I'm Peter Laird's #1 most hated fan. And why? All because I'm the only damn person willing to tell him the truth and what most everyone else would like to say to him.

If that DVD gets made, I won't get thanked. The only thing I'm likely to get is another sniping in the back of a comic book all because I've used my freedom of speech rights and Peter can't handle that.

It's time to just let it all fail.

Aw Tinuvielsdreams and me are working on a video for your DVD thing. We care but on a different level. I told Peter what I thought bluntly multiple times and he came at me like a child. So I asked him a question nicely and he was still rude to me so he's an ass period. You can't help it but don't hate turtles or give up on it whatever just because of one person. He will go away eventually and someone else will be in charge and if not it's up to someone else to shape it.

It's not hating or giving up on the TMNT all together. It's hard to explain, but it's a general redirection of energy.

There is no hope for Mirage at this point in time. I have absolutely no reason to believe that either Peter Laird or Gary Richardson gives a damn about the TMNT as characters, but only for the money they put into their pockets. Peter cares more about the amount of time he spends with his motorcycles than how much work he puts into the TMNT. He might as well be retired with the whole lot of nothing that he does. All Gary does is say "No" to any suggestion anyone makes that would result in something really cool or something really smart, generally because it would cost money that could just go into his pockets instead.

There's no reason to bother with any of it anymore.

But if you get a video finished, I'd definitely love to spread it around.

You know... they've had the TMNT toys at Dollar General/Family Dollar since LAST Christmas. And the Motorcycle 2 figures were there even sooner (that Summer, I believe) That's the only way I was able to get any of the full sized action figures. I sat there like an idiot waiting for the Varient turtles so I could get Monster Hunter Raph and Spirit of the Jungle Leo... but All I saw was the basic 4, And Splinter on occassion. And I broke down and got regular Raph because someone pinched the last Splinter.

It's really only a 2 dollar difference from Target, but 6 bucks is still cheaper than 8.

Rose, is there another film we can link the "I want my TMNT:SE!" videos to? Cause as far as I know I've tried to post my video as a Video responce and it seems to have resulted in bupkiss.

Does it have to be approved by the owner of the original video? She doesn't check her email too often these days.

Someone could create a kickass awesome video designed to draw in hundreds of thousands of views.

Maybe if I get motivated I'll repost the video of the group of us dancing to Vanilla Ice at Comic-Con a few years ago. But that's a big maybe right here and now.

We need to do something...this can't die. If the fans were to get agitated and animated...we should be able to get Mirage of their figurative asses.

Oh come on Jester, surely you've seen enough proof by now that Mirage doesn't give a damn, especially when it comes to us. We're more the enemy than we are the hand that feeds them.

Which is totally messed up, cause if they, as the old adage says, "Bite the hand that feeds them" then...well...there's no money for the TMNT coffers...then again it's made how much up till now, maybe we aren't necessary any more. Maybe they have enough dough they can just sit back and pull an Uncle Scrooge while simultaneously giving us the finger.

Ok, this (as well as this whole line of comments) is OT, but after reading of Rose's angst about Mirage, I made this video, and it's still uploading though I direct recorded it on Youtube. I apologize in advance for the scatterbrained nature of it, that and the annoying whine, but I felt that something had to happen...that and I can plug the shell out of my lame video series. ...

"Ninja Turtle Fans of the Internet Unite

We the fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both now and of the past and future, both of the comics and the animated series must all raise our voices strong and in unison for our beloved adolescent martial arts terrapins. Raise you voices for a new feature film. Raise you voices for a directors cut of the original 1990 classic. Raise your voices so we can be heard. Why do all the other comic book fans have to be the only ones to get what they want. Come on Turtle Fans...UNITE!"

Video link once it goes through all the rigamorro.

Yes, I very much believe this is the case.

The video (well, at this point, the transcription of the video) is a good, active effort, and I applaud you for that. But I think the unfortunate truth, no matter what we try to do, is that it'll stalemate in the same fashion as the DVD effort has.
