Help! Questions for Attack of the Mousers

Before I give off the wrong impression of me being a downer and a critic, I just wanna say I enjoy TMNT as much as the rest of you. The new toon is fantastic with a fine mix of action / humor + PLOT, and the old one brings me fond childhood memories. So no, I'm not trying to be picky and say the new cartoon is horrible, but there are some questions from today's episode that bug me. If anyone bother to take a shot and answer them, I would certainly appreciate TMNT much more:

1. In the flashback of the origin story, what exactly did pre-mutated Splinter feed the turtles?

2. When Splinter is half human-size or something, it is implied that he still goes above ground cause he said something like "They follow me everywhere except going above", where does he get his food and is it really possible nobody ever see a 3 feet rat?

3. The pizza scenerio: Where exacly did Splinter find a perfectly hot pizza? (Or are we trending on the whole Turtles gather money from the sewer ground again? Cause if we are, it seems that the Turtles are still having trouble walking...And Splinter buying a pizza above...that seems unlikely cause nobody will mistake a hairy werewolf-like dude for a human when he walks into a local Pizza-Hut)

4. The mutagen canister, shouldn't the can been rolled off or washed off in the drain by the time the Turtles are big enough to walk on their feet? It doesn't look like Splinter carries the can with him when he first meets the Turtles, and it IS a sewage that eventually leads to the ocean...so where did that broken can we see from ep. 2 come from?

5. I'm still niffy about the martial art / weapon thing. If the pre-mutated Splinter didn't have them, and where did the Turtles get their weapons anyway?

Thanks a lot guys, I know I should probably ease off since it IS only a cartoon. But hey, I will be a very happy man if anyone can come up with a suggestion.

1. I don't think he feed them anything. He first found them coated with ooze, already mutating, and took them back to his burrow. After that they all started mutating quickly and I guess he fed them anything he could find.

2. I don't know, rat's can get REALLY big. He knows the stealth art of the ninja, how do you think he snuck around? There're lots of places to get food, if you aren't very picky. You'd be surprised what people will throw away.

3. Heh, I doubt that pizza was hot. Not even warm. Even a bit soggy, maybe. But then again, you wouldn't believe the perfectly good food people will throw out because they're full.

4. It's possible it was. Splinter didn't think about it right away, but he probably went back just a day or two later. It shouldn't have floated that far.

5. Well, since show is based on the Mirage books, we all (well, most of us) assume that Splinter took them from Yoshi's home/martial arts school.

Thanks Kali. Yea, I guess your way does make sense. And I did read about the Yoshi arts school being where the weapons come from. Not to be mean, but didn't Yoshi got killed by Saki?

I guess his school must have been untouched for quite some time the police left his stuff where it was or pre-mutated Splinter somehow snatched them away before or something...I should shut up now.

I wouldn't worry about where they got their weapons until Splinter tells the origin of the Ninja part of their namesake for another day (who knows... maybe 7 weeks from now, perhaps, who knows, maybe, possibly).

Hopefully it will actually come out and say how the weapons were acquired... but if they were Yoshi's how did he get them to the sewer? I guess, if Yoshi was killed very recently in New York before the Ooze accident, Splinter could've gone up as a mutant rat before the weapons were emptied out of Yoshi's home by proper authorities and taken them to the sewers. speculation is fun.

Haha, yes indeed it is. That's why I posted this anyway.

An interesting side note though: This page has been viewed 62 times to date and only 3 posts...now I'm just wondering if we are the only ones who think speculation is fun or the rest of the gang just are thinking this is a silly issue like the whole "how old is april" trend, might as well skip it.

Well Kali had pretty much all the answers. But those are just details that have no effect what so ever to the story. But like you said, speculation is fun. My bet is on the Martial arts school. If Yoshi owned the building I guess police didn't take the stuff away.

A few good questions and a few anwsers. I kind of like the way they design the young mutated Spinter and baby turtles. I wait until Splinter talks about him and Master Yoshi.

I got into the habbit back in 1992 or 93' when I was little. I would like to thank my 2 year older cousin for getting me in the habbit. 2001 was when I revised my knowledge on TMNT. And today I'm a bigger fan than I was years ago. I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD.

Can't wait to see that episode. Even if they don't explain the weapons and such, it'll be a treat anyway.

...Just wanna add, the Leo battling Shredder and the Foots ep. will be amazing I think.
