Figure Casualties

Has anyone had a TMNT figure that met a horrible end? Perhaps trodden on, chopped up in the lawn mower, stolen at school or maybe melted in the microwave.

I take relatively good care of my figures - mostly it's accessories that have gotten screwed over. The worst thing that happened to one of my figures, is about 7 years ago or so, my best friend was visiting from Montana and we were just messing around with the toys, and he broke Casey's right leg off having him... um... "get friendly" with April.

When I was young, I was playing with my original Donatello figure outside. I made him "jump" over my creek for some reason, where he landed on the blacktop driveway. His arm and lower leg broke off. I salvaged him with glue, but unfortunately he was no longer an "action" figure. These were very sad times.

My friends and I used to throw our toys amongst other things in fires some times just because we had been evil little bastards when young.

God, you remind me now of the messy Canadian kid from Godzilla Final Wars.

The kid's way too old for either of these things to occur, but he's got chocolate smeared all over his face, and he's playing with Godzilla toys, and what appears to be a Squirtle. He clashes the figures together for a few seconds, before shouting "YOU'RE DEAD!" and throwing the Squirtle-esque figure into the blazing fireplace. His mom walks into the room as this happens, as if nothing is amiss. But this kid is like effing twelve or thirteen, looking like he participated in 2girls1kid, and throwing his toys into fire!

Since a lot of foreign characters in Japanese media are reflections of stereotypes (this includes the American Capt. Gordon of said film, a gung-ho soldier, and easily the most badass character in Godzilla history), this made me wonder... is this how the Japanese view Canadians?

Anyway, I'm way off topic... Vaughn just reminded me of this scene so much it made me laugh.

Well, not TMNT figures actually, but when I was in junior high I was really into collecting the new Star Wars POTF2 figures, and I had three large shelves full of loose/complete figures. One day I left my bedroom door ajar and one of our cats got in there. That day, Bossk, Boba Fett, a Tusken Raider, and Han Solo in Endor Gear all met their doom. She (the cat) chewed those guys all to hell.

My Rocksteady lost his foot for reasons unknown.

I also had a Metalhead fig which met an end after being tied to a firework. The figure stayed together but was badly burned and melted in places.

I told you about the Movie Raph who's body parts are easily removable and interchangeable... that's pretty much how I lost most of his parts. But that's nothing compaired to what a former friend did to my beloved Inspector Gadget action toy... with real working Gadgets.

yes, when i was kid some of the figures i didnt care for too much or had doubles of, sometimes it was fun to set the figure on fire and watch it melt, or place figures inside the fireplace to melt away, fun times.

My younger brother and I had a toy massacre one day--we maliciously annihilated dozens of our action figures in a variety of ways (crushing them, breaking them open, ripping limbs off, etc.), for no sane reason, one day (MOTU Mosquitor was the most fun, as he actually bleed when you broke him open). Utter madness--I still shudder to think of those lost, destroyed toys. Ah well, it was fun at the time.

Other than purposeful destruction, I can't recall any TMNT figures I ever owned breaking.
