Where's Eastman?

I have something that's been bothing me for awhile. I know that Laird & Eastman are the Creatons of Ninja Turtles . Peter Laird is mostly incharged of the New TMNT comics . But what about Eastman . Where is he ? Where does he live now . What is his job if he's not involed with the New Series ? If this was already anouced than don't blame me. I just like to know what happen.

He left TMNT a long time ago, like around TNM I believe. He and Laird had disagreements over something I believe.

I don't remember any disagreements. As far as I know they just grew apart and Kevin lost interest in the TMNT, so Peter bought his share.

As for what Kevin's doing at the moment... he's busy with his Heavy Metal magazine.

They had some disagreements, mostly over Next muation. It was Eastman's thing, but Laird didn't like it. Eastman also worked on Heavy Metal, and since his time went to that, Laird bought the TMNT for himself.

Well that explans some of it. I may not of seem all the Next Mutation series. And most fans hate it. So Eastman quit because of one disagreeing. I may of found this website back in 2002 and been a member of it for 4 days. If Next Mutation had any aprovements than Eastman may of stayed. But those gusys were parters. They were like: Laurial & Harrley
Giligan & Skipper
Sonic & Tails
Mario & luigi
or even Rockstedy & Behop
Well since this happened awhile ago I'm not mad I'm just conserned.
If Eastman and Laird weren't friends in the first place than we won't even be on this Message Board.

Well, I don't think he left just because Peter didn't like TNM. In an interview someone (I'll go look for the page) did with Peter, he said that he and Kevin just grew apart and that Kevin lost interest in TMNT.

EDIT: Here's the interview: Click.

The cookiest concidence in the world:

The 3 things I like most in the world (TMNT, Nine Inch Nails, and the video game DOOM) all had orignal co-creators that left after a while because of one bad thing or another.

Kevin Eastman the TMNT scene for the reasons mentioned above.

John Romero left id Software due to his excuse that the company wasn't creative enough.

Chris Vrenna left Nine Inch Nails, though I don't remember exactly what for.

Weird.

Didn't Vrenna join Guns N Roses for a short time, but then left?

Eastman can be seen as a cop on the new TMNT series^)^

Seriously, was TNM really the last thing Eastman worked on? Has there been any interviews or anything since? Or even a "I was at a con and I overheard Eastman say..."? Hmmm...

I know he's left and they haven't spoken for about 2 years, but I can't help wishing that they'll do some kind of special issue togethor to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the TMNT next year.

Yes, Eastman did like next mutation. He was even on the sets. I think Bodycount is the last TMNT thing Eastman did. Also, Eastman did not quit because of a disagreement, it was because the distance, and the fact that Eastman had lot's of other stuff to do.

And it also sounds like he liked Venus, from what I heard from the CA fans who hang with him at San D.

IMO it's a shame that Eastman left, for those of us who enjoyed the old cartoon. He seemed interested in branching out with the Turtles, and trying new things.
Laird seems to only care for the original comic, and is dedicated to making the new show alot like it. Not like that's a problem, but I really want more mutants. Without them, the toys will be pretty boring.
