Mutation of the Ooze

You may remember Which splinter is better. Well which mutation of the turtles seem better.

A. Original TMNT: The ooze caused them to grow full size at once.

B. New TMNT: It takes time to grow full size.

I got into the habbit back in 1992 or 93' when I was little. I would like to thank my 2 year older cousin for getting me in the habbit. 2001 was when I revised my knowledge on TMNT. And today I'm a bigger fan than I was years ago. I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD.

Only in the original cartoon did they grow at once like that I think. Everything else it took time to grow. That makes alot more sense to. I like that way better.

Actually, I have an interesting theory on this. Remember in the first episode of the original series when Raphael said they spent "half their lives crawling around the bottom of a glass bowl"? I figure they had to be aroud 7 or 8 years old at the time they were mutated, meaning they weren't babies. That's why it worked quicker for them.

Good theory, but that makes me wonder: how smart are the pre-mutated turtles?...And how exactly did they know they spend half their lives crawling? Donatello counting the days perhaps?

- Yes, I know it's probably a stupid thing to say, but it's late and I'm goofy

Wouldn't that mean that the turtles themselves are nearly 23? Because from the time they say this, all that mutating happened 15 years ago in the past.

I think Raphael was being sarcastic when he said they spent half their lives in a glass bowl.

Remember, we're working with two completely different oozes here. One was pink, the other was green. They both had very different purposes. Duh they're gonna have different effects, including the time it takes to take full effect.

And I doubt either mutagen has truely taken full effect, meaning it's still effecting them. Like in unstable mutations in the old show, or Peter's ideas for further mutation. Or even if we don't notice the mutations, they're still happening.

Not neccesarily. They could've only been first mutated 7 years before meeting April.

I also prefer the origin from the comics/movies, where the turtles grow slowly. Makes more sense, scientifially speaking.

But Kali does have a point about teh two types of mutagen. In the comics/movies, the ooze was a radioactive product the Utroms made. As I remeber from the comics, it was a genetic altering substance they were developing to make better human likenesses of themselves. I'm prolly off on this, but that's what it seemed like.

Then in the old cartoon, Krang and Shredder claimed to have created the stuff to reek revenge on Hamato Yoshi. Not to mention the fact that this pink ooze acted differntly, making the person take on the qualities of whatever animal he touched the most.

Hrmm.. I guess this is why the turtle look so human like there... if humans were what they were in contact the most.

*decides to stop thinking here* ;p
