I forgot about Ghostbusters. There are so many good comdies, it's hard to choose "the best". That would be like trying to choose the best movie ever, its impossible.

Ghostbusters: Plenty of sarcasm from Bill Murray, not to mention the whacky nature of some of the ghosts in the film. Don't forget the cast was mainly made up of SNL and SCTV actors. That in itself makes for a hilarious movie.
History of the World Part I: Crude, raw, and raunchy from beginning to end, but in a comical sense. Hey, it's Mel Brooks, what did you expect? The skewed historical inaccuracies only further the laugh factor (and I can vouch for that especially on the Roman Empire segement since I'm a third-year Latin student Spaceballs: Again, Mel Brooks, also a spoof of Star Wars. Whether he knew the year it was released was also the 10th anniversary of Star Wars or not, I don't know, but it kinda adds a light to it. Keep it up Mel! The Kentucky Fried Movie: Zucker and Abhrams (sp) first, also one of the best. As the box says, "Imagine SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE without censors and you've got the one and only KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE!" The greatest skit on it has to be "A Fistful of Yen." Bruce Lee fans everywhere will delight in the skit's imitation of it. Hot Shots Part Deux: Another movie by the same guys, it blows the first Hot Shots out of the water. Never-ending surprise slapstick, 'nuff said. How can you NOT love the notion of using a CHICKEN as an arrow? Naked Gun (all 3): What's that? More Jim Abhrams? Yep. How else can I explain it other than all of them being police story spoofs? Priscilla Presley's only acting that I know of... |

I have some of my favorite comedys:
Evil Dead 2: (Zoom in on Ash's face, the music tenses up, he revs his chainsaw and saws off the end of his "Boomstick" and puts it into his sadle...."Groovy." Army of Darkness: ("London bridge is falling down! Falling do-HAHAHA-www-" The mini Ash holds up a nail and Ash steps on it. "GAH!" "My fair lady, ha!" Ghostbusters: ("Hello. I'm Peter." "Ssssh." "Alright, this isn't working...." "I got an idea...wait...alright boys...get ready...get ready....GET HER!" "ROOOARRR!!!" "AGGGHHH!!!" Ghostbusters II: ("Hey you! Yeah, you, the bimbo with the baby." Men in Black: ("You know Elvis is dead, right?" "No he's not dead, he just went home." And of course: TMNT: ("Come on! Ninja kick the damn rabbit!") And finally for now: The Mask: ("Rubber duck....funny glasses...bazooka?" "I have a permit for that." "Picture of Lt. Kellaway s wife." "Uh oh." "Margret! You son of a *****!!!" "Gee, I thought you have a sense of humor.....afterall, YOU MARRIED HER!" "AGGGHHH!!!" SLAP SLAP SLAP! "That's gotta hurt." |

lilo and stitch
Lilo and Stitch was awesome too, but I watched it while I was babysitting, and this 6 yr old was throwing a tantrum cuz he wanted to watch Spirit. So my attention was a lil bit distracted most of the movie. But it was still really good
