DVD's... How Frustrating :)

I was hoping I could find a rather dumb store employee who I could ask, 'Excuse me sir, but I didn't see any copies of TMNT Season 7 out on the floor....Do you happen to have any in the back' 'Sure thing sir, let me go check!'

It's only happened once, and sadly that wasn't that big a deal. I got Super Mario Galaxy three days earlier. They had opened the box and about 8 of them where missing. So far it hasn't happened since ;o)..

Anyone else get lucky and find them early? Sadly more and more employees know their stuff when it comes to release dates these days ;p

I'd try to pull that stunt, but I already pre-ordered them. Good job tho, post pics!

more and more employees know their stuff because after several titles (specifically video games) have been released early, the publishers have been wielding bigger and bigger lawsuit hammers. That and they are putting huge "do not sell before" stickers on shipping boxes now.

They rain fire down on employees who do that and all the boxes are marked with huge orange stickers that detail when the release date is and what will happen to you if you violate it.

For crap like turtles DVDs we only ever got like 4 of them so I used to take them from the back but I worked there so it was a different story. I wouldn't do it for a customer.

I once did that at Tower Records with some upcoming CD releases and the manager caught it and made me give the CDs back. One day early, probably doesn't matter, but this early and they would probably think you are planning to re-sell them for profit on ebay or something.
