Old Toon Discussion Thread- Catwoman from Channel 6

Ah yes, another classic episode. April, April, April. This ep had a lot of April *coughs*rearshots*coughs* and Shredder using her to get to Splinter. And of course, the whole scene in the chinese take-out place with April posing as a 'food critic'. "Thanks guys... I'll reccomend this place to my friends..."

I smell trouble...
Can't be worse than the food.

Well, April, how does it feel being a human again?
Awful! My nails are absolutely ruined from walking around on all fours!
Yep, she's back to being a woman again!

Landfill

I like when Shredder teleports Bebop and Rocksteady to the landfill, and they fall down into the sewers and fight the TMNT.

I featured this episode recently in my TMNT: Gone Wrong! series:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9t...e-4_shortfilms

Also, it should be noted that this episode gave Playmates Toys the opportunity to make a Cat Woman April figure:

Too bad they never produced a non-mutatin' properly scaled version ala:

Yeah, but the original Playmates design was from 1990 according to Ryan Brown's site, so it looks like it just took them a while to move from concept to production.

The best is when the turtles are just chillin' watching tv eating pizza, and all of sudden Bebop and Rocksteady just wonder in. They turn to look at them and for a moment they are all like...WTF!?!?

Priceless.

hahaha! I have that April toy.

Not a huge fan of this episode though. It's ok. I'd rate it 3/5.

my favorite quote from episode is the exchange between Raphael and Donatello right before they go into the chinese resturant.

Raphael: boy guys, I'm getting pretty bored with these private eye outfits.

Donatello: oh sorry guys, but our french poodle out fits are still at the dry cleaners.

Bwaahaaha!

and Donatello says it so nonchalantly. LOL!

The episode first aired in 1988, and the first TMNT toys were launched that year. First, you need to launch the basic things, not something from a single episode.

She got mutated into a cat, not a dog.

According to that chart, April is a year younger than what her original stat chart says, which is that she's "a young 25" and 115 pounds.

So does that make the Mutatin' April figure a prequel to the original?

Pretty cool ep. Thought it was cool when they made the toy of her! Just a bit bulky cause of the mutating action.

April looked ugly as a mutant cat. They could have at least put in a little more effert in her design. And why did her eyes turn from black to green in this episode?

Might have been cool if they could have designed her more like this:

I always thought her eyes were light blue as a cat mutant. It's really weird since they changed her regular eye color to blue in the last three seasons.

Wink catwoman April

Hi, personally I really liked this episode.

Her eyes looked like she were more cat like. But i didn´t liked the error with her tail deleted in some parts. I think they could have done a mutation reverse scene at least.

Speaking of this, ¿anyone knows a good fanfic about catwoman April?

welcome to the drome Lagunax.

I really adored this episode but i thought April was depicted way too bitchy in many ways. Like her disdain for doing the fat cabby interveiw. And how she threw a vase at Vernon...

But other than that I liked the animation in this episode. Every one looked very good this episode.
