What is Kevin Eastman's current status with the TMNT property?

I know that KE sold his 50% rights to the characters to Peter Laird but Eastman continues to get interviewed about the Turtles on a regular basis. What is his current connection with the property and does he still speak with Peter Laird?

although he sold his half of the property, hes still one of the founders of TMNT, so he'll more than likely never stop talking about/being asked about TMNT.

As far as i know, he has no/will have no official say as to where the line will go or obviously be able to make any major decisions for the franchise since hes sold his share of it.

as for speaking with peter, from what i know they havent actually really talked in a long time, havnt seen each other in a long time either*

*they did just do a colaboration for TMNT recently but i dont believe they worked "together" one drew the turtles, the picture was mailed, the other inked it, and then mailed it back if im not mistaken

I'd place my bets on creative differences.

First Peter bought creative control from Eastman, and it was a little while ago that he bought his 50% however there was an interview after that were Kevin said he still received loyalties which I remember confused some people on the technodrome.

Thats all I know.

I knew he was editor of it for quite a while now; I even asked about it in the Mirage TMNT comic, and it was answered yes in Issue #51.

From what I understand Kevin sold all of the creative rights to Peter in 2000, though still retained some intellectual rights to this or that. I think in the past year or two it was that he sold even that over to Peter. There was an article on Newsarama.

Kevin still gets some royalties or kickbacks from comics and material he directly worked on, as far as I know -- he just can't say he owns it anymore and can't make any TMNT stuff on his own. That is, at least, without Peter/Mirage's approval.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong as it's very possible I have it twisted somewhere.
