Where did the European Vacation Season air first?

The were first shown in the US in 1993. As far as I found out the Season was also shown in Italy for the first Time in early 1993.
And my records tell me that they aired in Germany in 1992 (May to August) as part of the second german TMHT Season.
On Wikipedia they say that it was first shown in Denmark, but does anybody know when it REALY was first on (World Premiere)?

It was on USA Networks, the cable channel in America, showing in a marathon format the afternoon of Sunday, November 1st, 1992. I have no idea how Molly Bode got that particular piece of misinformation. I have the journal entries to back up my claims. But, I think it's likely that the answer of who got the world premiere is just one of those facts that was neglected and forgotten over the years.

How did the European Vacation season get greenlit at all? What compelled them to make 13 episodes about the TMNT in Europe?

I'm guessing TMNT was popular in other countries and they wanted the Turtles to get out of the U.S. for awhile?
