Turtle Doc Content

It has been a long time since I have said anything about the doc, and I am sorry for that.

I just wanted to let you all know that it is still very alive and very well! There are all sorts of cool surprises coming out of our collective sleeves.

And to rest all worried minds assured, there is content we hope to share that NO ONE and I mean NO ONE has EVER seen.... intrigued yet? There is stuff sitting on my table this moment that has not even seen daylight for 22 years. I'll Keep you posted, but can't say any more.

I do have a question for ya... I seen the trailer and OMG it looks great and I cannot wait for this to be released, I will be forever patient however here is the question... Will this be free or will it be made available to purchase? What are your intentions on distribution (download, dvd, osmosis)? I am sure it is a long way away but thought maybe you could give me some insight?

Hey guys! Thanks for those questions!

Response in order: Distribution, that is the million dollar question. There will be a DVD and or blu ray of the Doc at some point in the future. Where, when, and what's on it is up in the air. I will say there are some super promising options on the table. Who knows you may even be able to get them from stores rather than have to order online. A few people have brought up the "for free" question, I guess I should give this question credit in this day and age of internet sharing. However we have put at this point well over 10 months of our lives, 8 trips into the US and countless man hours into bringing this to all of you and will be working hard for an untold, unimaginable amount of time into the future to complete this for your viewing pleasure. ALL of those hours for the crew are NOT paid, and all expenses come from our pockets. We want to share this with all of you, but there is no way we can do it for free.

The Voice cast reunion was one of the most magical and special experiences on this production and maybe in our lives as crew and fans, I can guarantee it will appear in some way shape or form.

TRAILER! hahaha well there is an intent on updating all the online content. A few of you have even sent in some kick ass art for our cover contest thing that I have yet to put up. Because of deals and ongoing talks we are not currently releasing some of our new content, this can change at a moments notice and we could get one of our new trailers up, but I will keep you posted.

A final note, there is SO much stuff we could make hour long docs on any of the Turtle world subjects with stuff you have never seen or heard before. We hope that we can bring you a variety of ways you can enjoy this stuff. Maybe there could be special features on the DVD or even multiple DVDs... who knows at this point. This will be as complete of a history and fan impact phenomenon story as possible.

Quick Question:

Are gonna sell the rights of the Special to foreign DVD Labels, so that maybe Code 2 DVDs will be released?

I know it's a Fan documentary, but the Idea wouldnt be that bad, would it?

(Well of course there must be a DVD Label interessted in the Doc)

Thank you for answering some questions... If the documentary isn't free that still won't keep me from purchasing a copy, I was just curious about the crews intentions... From the little I have seen this is going to be awesome...

Just an idea to throw out there when you are finished with the doc and you have a lot of left over goodies it might be good to use those for promotion for a DVD of some sort... Let people see the scraps for free and sell them the meal so to speak... Just an idea... Either way keep doing what you and your crew are doing, this is an amazing project!

Hey thanks all!

There are many different ideas on the table with regards to there being maybe multiple DVDs and versions and special features covering specific areas of interest, ie the first movie or the toy line history. We are definitely interested in distribution in as many zones as possible around the world, I think it is safe to say this is no longer a "fan doc" this pretty much covers the Turtles history from the mouths of the creative people behind it, but made by fans for fans and the general public alike.

I totally forgot that there is a little sneak peak out there that is newer for those looking for more trailer stuff. Its tacked on to the end of my production demo reel over on my company site. It is some stuff you have seen before, but some that hasn't been seen in trailers. Like I say there should be a newer trailer coming soon, but even then the truly juicy history never before seen stuff is all up in the air with rights, so you will have to wait. hahah sorry, but if you want to see whats on the demo reel check it out here: http://www.iproductionsonline.com/demovideo.html

Well I got a Idea:
Make 2 Versions of the Doc:
1.) Cut into many Parts to be sold on various DVD (one with Infos about the original Comic Version, the other about the first TV Series and so on)
2.) The original Cut on one 3 - 5 Disk Boxset for all the Hardcore Fans

Edit: Awe Great! Maybe I can find a german distributor - that would be awesome ^_^

Hey man! Thanks that is amazing that you would like to help. I guess I will be honest and tell you we never received any donations. We had one opportubity when we were with Jim Henson Studios to actually shoot the one remaining hero head from the first movie, but we needed a lot of money to ship it over. I think one person offered to donate, but as it was already to late to get the head over from the UK we thanked the individual and declined. We are thankful for any little bit that people feel they can help us with, it has been a tough road and although in the grand scheme of production budgets ours is low, its still a very large amount of money and insane amount of time to invest.

In response to the MASSIVE fan DVD release hahah. There was a comment made by Randal a the Toronto Con panel. He said we would release all 130 hours as the massive set and charge 17 Gs per item, we wouldn't have to sell many so we would take names after the panel.... of course this was a joke, but I am sure many of you as I have already, would watch all of it!! haha

Ok double posting, I want to see if people are interested by this. I am going to hint at a secret and see what people think.

You know how there are the different Turtle universe directions, ie. the old Toon vs the comic story line vs the 2k3 story line, and so on.

Through some digging I have found an alternative Turtle story line which would have been the original toy and cartoon story. There was a whole different direction that they were going to go in the beginning with different characters and everything.... that's all I am going to say.

There I spilled some beans just to see if this is new material that people might be interested in hearing about. Some neat material for you to enjoy as part of the doc.

That sounds awesome! Can't wait to see it!

BTW, are you still taking submissions for the DVD cover?

Just changed that

It really wasn't much, since I'm on minimum wage and I'm not able to work 40 hours a week these days. But I promise to buy every version of the Doc you release.

Great! I'm working on something I hope you'll really like! My biggest problem is I don't have digital coloring skills, so I might have to go all color pencil on it.
