New Spidey Cartoon

I just picked up the april issue of wizard magazine and there's an article in it about a new Spiderman cartoon that's gonna be on MTV. Theres some pictures in it and it looks really cool......The article said that they are gonna have lot's of the old villains with some new one named, Pterodax,Shikata, turbojet, and Talon......I can't wait! Anybody else read this article and what are your views on it?

I dunno how I feel about it. Its in CGI which is totallt awesome. Done by the guys who did ReBoot, Beast Wars & Action Man.
But it hated Spider-Man Unlimited , i hope this dosen't have the same feel. My favriote will always be Spider-Man: The Animated Series on Fox Kids. I always like what I see first. But i'm interested in this. Can't Wait .

I don't like like it how they rewrote all the villians. I Understand why they did to set Peter in contemporary times and give him, Spidey and the villians a new feel. But i don't like it. Anytime someone takes a good thing and changes it to have a new feel or twist. It sometimes dosen't sit well.

I Don't read comics but from what i hear they totally destroyed Venom, which i hate . As he is my favriote.

Well yeah, thats true. It's very diffrent from Amazing Spider-man, But it's still good. One fact tha bother me with it is age of Peter Parker. I think he is like 16, and everything happens to him within one year...

It's based off of Spider-Man movie continuity.

No, it isn't. It started in year 2000, The movie was made in 2002. But it's true that some parts of the comic was used in the movie script.

I've know about this for a while, they have a lot of music stars providing the voices for diffrent chacters, and I think Michael Clark Duncun is going to do the voice of King Pin (like in DD)

I any case I trust Mainframes judgement, as long as it doesn't turn out like Beast Machines and Action Man season 2

Did I read right? MTV is picking this up? Do you know what this means? Every asshole in school will be talking about it and Spider-Man will totally be ruined. MTV went bad the second someone over there said "Hey, rap is a good idea."

I can picture it now. Nothing but ****** ass rap songs playing all over it while Doc Oc and Spidey are doing "Jackass" stunts, or the Green Goblin gets dressed up like Hobgoblin on "Becoming", and they'll just wind up pissing me off so much! Everything was fine with the Fox Series! MTV is like King Midas! Everything it touches turns to crap!

Well if MTV seems to follow their usual pattern with cartoons, it'll be easy to find for the first few weeks, then will seemingly disapear

what!? they destroyed venom and created new villains! i also really like the spider-man that was on fox kids around '95. venom was also my favourite, and i also liked the green goblin, among others. i just hope it turns out good unlike spider-man unlimited

Yeah, I'm also wondering how those of us in Canada who don't pay the extra money to watch the garbage that is MTV are going to be able to see the new toon.

I heard about this a loooong while ago, but I haven't been following it latley. I think Bendis(the guy behind Ultimate spiderman) is writing the new series, and I'm pretty sure it picks up right where the movie left off. I have mixed feelings about this new show. I'll either love it or hate it. Mainly because it's on MTV and many of the characters will be voiced by "musicians"

The new cartoon continues from the movie. Spider-Man II takes place two years after the events in Spider-Man, and the cartoon kinda fills the gap in.

I, for one, was scared at the fact that this was gonna be on MTV, but after seeing the video (On the Spider-Man VHS.) and reading about it, I'm not so sure now. Maybe now they can try to be more mature and a little more violent that the Fox Cartoon of old. (Spidey NEVER punched anyone in the old Fox Cartoon. Kick's maybe, but no punches. Stupid censors....) Anyone actually remember MTV having The Maxx cartoon that was based off the image comic? That was great!

That's right....never thought about it that way. But still, that was MTV when it had some substance. These days it's just stupid crap. If you don't mind, I'm gonna continue holding my breath.
