TMNT Volume 4 #1 & #2 Reprints Coming Soon!

For those who didn't get issues #1 and #2, the reprints of those issues should be out Wednesday, March 26.

They should have drawn diffrent covers for the reprints so that eve those who already own 1&2 would have reason to buy them. Right now I can't think of any.

It would be very unusual if the reprints had the same covers.

It's not unusual to have them use the same covers. I bought the third printing of Vol. 1 #1 a day before the new series first came out and it had the same cover as the first printing.

Yes it does. It's one of the few exceptions. Most reprints in Mirage do have diffrent covers. Atleast a second cover because the first ones wer B&W. They also contained new back stories, but I haven't hear anything like that being in these reprints. So the are made for those people that didn't buy #1 and #2 in time I guess.

I'm a weirdo completest who'll be getting these even if the only difference is the words "2nd Printing." I wouldn't be too surprised to see a new note from Peter, though.

Well a new letter page is not good enough for me. New cover would be the absolute minimum they should do for a reprint if they want to sell it to the people who already own the first printings.

I'm glad they kept the same covers.

I think it's lame to do reprints with a different cover because it's just a way to try to scam completists out of their money. This way, if you have the first prints, you don't need the second. That seems to me like they're looking out for their fans, not ripping them off.

No, some people actually enjoy collecting TMNT stuff. But you are right, now there is no real reason to buy the second printing.

I picked up both issues today. Nothing significant has been changed. The one thing I noticed with the brief look I've been able to give them is that the back cover of #1 has an ad for the new cartoon.

Well, I have missed #2, so I'm going to buy it anyway, but I still wish it had another cover. Then I would still have a reason to hunt for the first printing.

I don't know about your area but near my house the reprints went really really fast. I wasn't able to get them teh first time around but I was able to get everyone since issue three. Even then the issues were hard to get cause they were always sold out or there was just one left. When I heard the re-prints were out for 1 and 2 I called my friend who works at the comic shop and he said he had one of each in and he would hold it for me. Turns out that I was lucky because this was and still is my only chance to get these. Also, I don't know if you all noticed this but before the new episodes aired I was able to get alot of back issues at the comic store. Nowadays teh back issue section is completely empty. Out here the Turtles are selling really good.
