TMNT Mask Knot
So I have made my own TMNT masks recently for a costume. I am wondering how you can get the nice big knot in the back? Is that some special Knot or mostly just a costuming trick? Any advice from people who have done this already would be helpful.

I assume that you have to keep tieing it until it makes a knot...

You could try an overhand knot, why not just do a regular ol' knot?

.....tie a bow......or a shoelace knot.
No really, I think it starts like a shoelace (over and under), but I think you do over and under again. See there's two types of knots when you do that. I believe it's a square knot if you do Left over Right , and then back Right over Left (don't get confused)...BUT if you do Left over Right, and then Left over Right AGAIN, then you should have a not so clean knot called a "Granny" knot. In my opinion a "Granny" knot seems more reasonable, but for easy access to take off you should consider the Square Knot. Hope this helps!!! |

use a overhand reef knot, think thats the name of it, the knot most used to tie a martial art belt (Obi) it looks very good, and I've used it on my tmnt mask. it sticks on and are easy to take off if needed
