Just Wondering??

I was looking at pictures of the sideshow collectible statues and noticed that Nickelodeon was branded on the boxes and started wondering to myself if this was the direction Nick might take them style wise for their version of the TMNT. If so that would be awesome they need to consider it ...if they already haven't! Oh by the way I'm new to the forums (obviously) but a veteran fan of the turtles so hello everyone!

They own everything therefore licenses that were given prior to the buyout must still be carried out, only with the name of the new property holder printed on the product. The fact that its there means nothing, to be blunt. The comics even have viacom in the front covers but that doesnt mean that nick will wish to continue them.

I'm familiar with the Nickelodeon/Viacom buyout details. I was just very curious and hopeful that they considered going the route of the statues stylistically. But as I saw in a thread on the fanworks section of this board they will probably use a simplistic Danny Phantom/Kim Possible style as most of Nicks newer programs have gone. UGH!! I shutter to think what that would look like in CG....and that doesn't excite me....

As I said, these designs were created prior to the deal, so nick has to do em. That particular fan drawing is simply a hypothetical 'what if they took the simplistic route' question posed in art form. As for the actual styling of the show, they said they wanted to maintain somewhat of a 'darkness' with action oriented scenes, but pulling ALOT from the 80's toon as far as characters (and potentially some slapstick) go. They also said they would hope to pull in a slightly older audience as was the case with the other 'comic' shows they had (like wolverine).

Welcome to the forum, btw.

So the 4kids TMNT with OT characters pretty much? I still see the Nicktoon going a very simplistic route with the CG stylistically but it would be awesome if they chose to make them look more like the mirage turtles.
