Is Peter Laird going through a mid-life crisis?

Has anyone been reading the last 10 or so blog entries PL has posted about his life?

He constantly talks about how depressed and unhappy he was over the last decade, and how he is re-comitting himself to his wife and his family (which is the best thing he can do), and how he is "shedding his former self" and trying to distance himself from who he was over the last two or so decades.

PL is now 56 I believe. No one can blame him from wanting to live an ordinary life and being healthy and supporting his family, so I wish him all the best.

Yet it goes to show you that millionaires are also normal people who struggle in life like everyone else. I wish PL all the best.

Yeah. The guy is realizing that all that time he spent focused on the Tmnt has made other aspects of his life not as good as they could be.

Tmnt is not as important as your relationship with your wife so I am happy he is getting things together and the Tmnt now is getting a new life aswell.

Ya know, I in the middle of doing some soul searching which I feel could be considered a microcosm of what Laird is going through: a "quarter life crisis" if you will. Blame Scott Pilgrim and South Park.

That was the thing that always mystified me about the turn the franchise took when Eastman and Laird licensed the cartoon and the parallel comic book published by the same outfit that gave us Archie. The turtles' original origin story? The whole thing hinges on a for-Christ's-sake rape-murder!!!!
from here.
