Cyborg Don

what are his abilities, do guns attatch to it, what body parts are organic, what are the spikes on his head for, is he taller than the other turtles, and do you like the idea of a cyborg turtle? i have issues #1 and 12 and i'm hoping to get the rest, eventually, i've read the summarys online and i think he sounds interesting and the pics for the conclusion issue look cool.

I personally was a big fan.

He was larger than the other turtles after his accident. The fall from the hellicoptor killed the human cyborg because he was a dumb @$$, and the armor crawled onto Don and fused with him-- healed him. As a result Don was able to manipulate the armor to take the form of guns, tools, etc. The guns and what not don't so much "attach" to him as they are formed out of whatever is there until he no longer has need of them.

What I really liked about it all was the 'astral plane' parts. Spooky!

The actual design was a little unimaginative (is that a word?). He looked like a metal roach. The actual cool thing about the cyborg arc was the toll it took on Don and his brothers, the fact that the Donatello we had come to know was basically dying a little each minute... the fact that at one point the other guys felt uncomfortable around him, they didn't even trust him anymore. The situation was very unpredictable. Awesome stuff.

I liked how at one point they made it seem like Donatello died entirely and the CPU of the armor took over the entire body.

I liked how the dark humor in Don's personality became more evident when grafted with the machine - namely when the guys found him with a huge ass blaster to his head!

What does he do? *click* Bad. Ass. I seriously doubt Raphael would ever have the nads to do that.

How ironic that in Vol. 4, Don now uses a robot/cyborg Turtle body to fight at normal size.

The irony here is so thick, you can't even slice it with a knife.
