ATTN: Nick, we want real fights, not slapstick

We don't need to see the Turtles slicing open fire hydrants where the water sprays on the bad guys, nor do we need the Turtles throwing pizzas at the villains faces.

Also using a bee hive as a weapon just screams "kids stuff."

These are trained ninjas that punch, kick, and use their weapons on their enemies. We want well choreographed fights where the Turtles are pushed to the edges of their limits.

The 4kids series had some great fights in them, try to at least reproduce what you have seen there in this show.

If you recall the movie Three Ninjas... Anything can be used as a weapon... Even CDs, laxatives, and yes a bee hive... It is more about use of the object than what the object actually is... My opinion anyway...

B:TAS was aimed at kids, and it was a well written show.

Seriously, you need to stop this ridiculousness. Both your jumping to insane conclusions and speaking as if you are a voice for everyone.

I kind of always thought the point of ninjitsu was that the ninja themselves were the ultimate weapons, and that anything they may use not of their own bodies was to be considered an extension of themselves.

Then again, I'm the kind of person who thinks it's awesome to watch Jason Statham kick a bunch of guys butts using his own button downed shirt.
So your mileage may vary.

Plastroncafe has always been one of my most favourite members here. She is smart, and anything she types is always interesting to read.

On topic...
TMNT has always had different incarnations, different things going for it. It has always turned out into something interesting. Hard to mess up with TMNT because of how versatile it can be. Whether they are beating someone up to a pulp, throwing pizzas into some ones face, or using bee hives as a weapon. Maybe it is just me, but any of those I could watch and be just fine with.

That whole beehive-thing indeed sounds slapstick, but you don't even now how it's gonna look.

BEFORE the beehive-thing there is an actual big fight!

Something else you have to keep in mind is they did have sillier fights in the start of 2k3 too.... anyone remember the episode where the Turtles all fought with their extreme sports equipment??

A beehive is actually interesting in a fight with what you have around you type of way.

In the words of the great Master Splinter, "In the hands of a true ninja, anything can be a deadly weapon." Therefore, a beehive can be a weapon if used correctly. And they do have a fight before that anyway according to Rose's blog.

Winnie the Pooh may not have been the most effective ninja, but disguising yourself as a storm cloud to sneak into a beehive is pretty damn inventive.

(also: AWWWW, thanks guys. I go to Youtube to find links for Statham Fights and come back to praise. *blush*)
