Similarities in 2 John Du Perez scores
So, my wife and were watching A Fish Called Wanda, and as the opening credits rolled I saw that the music was done by John Du Perez, also known for doing the score for the 1st TMNT film. As we watched Wanda I noticed stings in the musical score that were similar, understandable, since the same man wrote both scores.
I have a clip from Wanda, I'm still trying to pick out the bit in Turtles I think it sounds like. If you can help...that'd be great. I might just have to rewatch both movies and take notes. Here's the clip:

It sounds to me to be similar to the score in The Secret of The Ooze. The First few notes do sound similar to when the kids are going to the warehouse in the first ninja turtles. But i could be wrong.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Du_Prez not sure how much is accurate buts its interesting non theless. |

Here's an addition that sounds similar to me, but I could swear there's a bit with the piano as well:

There is a good resemblance to Both scores. Some artists will usually recyle a not or to sometimes in thier film score. James Horner does it a lot with the 4 notes that play when Khan is in the relient and fires on the Enterprose in Star Trek 2;The Wratch of Khan. he has used the notes in following film scores. Jar Jars introduction theme on the Phantom Menace soundtrack has a few notes simialr to the main theme from home alone.

Ha! Nice find, Jester! That's practically the same piece just slowed down. It's definitely akin to one piece from TMNT 1. I think it's in the beginning when the Foot are at "work"...which is I think what winters is referring to. I think it's also used (off memory) when Raph brings April home and cuts just as Leo asks "are you *crazy?!*"...that's just off memory, though. Could be wrong.

Yeah, I thought that too. Those are the scenes I ripped off the DVD, but the music isn't as...somber, I guess is how you describe it.
