My TMNT Month - In May for Youtube
Hi there, just wanted to let anyone know that since it's my birthday in May, I'm gonna try something. I want to dedicate the whole month into anything and everything TMNT. As in, I want to make as many videos as possible discussing every possible thing about the Ninja Turtles, since I love these characters so much. My history into getting into these characters, all of the incarnations (the 80's cartoon, the 2003 cartoon, the 4 movies, getting bought by Nickelodeon, the German DVD release of the first film, the fan made stuff like 'Fight the Foot', The Next Mutation, the Coming out of their shells tour, etc.).
I'm already in the planning stages, although nothing much special I have been doing stuff like finding these 2 fan commentaries that I had done years ago on the first two live action movies which are here and fully uploaded: http://www.youtube.com/user/ramboraphfilms And pretty much starting May 1st I will be uploading all of them here on my main channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ramboraph4life What I mean by I've started (not just having uploaded those 2 fan commentaries I did for the first 2 live action flicks, which I love to death) is that I've recorded a few videos (yes...including one that will make A LOT of people mad, cause a buddy of mine did about a 90 minute rant on the CGI TMNT film. And yes, we do cover actual points as to WHY we didn't care for that flick...it's just a film that is more & more disappointing each time I see it...I mean...Leo is such an ass with his whole 'i'm better than you' and yet HE did the same damn thing as Raph did, only in the jungle...but heh getting back on topic). Yes, I CAN watch the third film more than the CGI flick, but that's just me (and the 3rd flick didn't have a 14 year wait between the two that you could have come up with dozens of better stories...hell that whole 'Nightwatcher' angle of Raph's, with that cool Comic Book Prequel, was WAY better than the movie itself). But that's just me, I know i'm in the minority lol but that's cool. But just wanted to warn people ahead of time. No worries if you like it, it seems the majority really enjoyed the CGI flick. And that's cool. I just felt that the 2003 cartoon had much more to it with such a lesser budget (Leo cutting Shredder's head off? Stockman falling about? Leo stabbing Splinter in that dream/hallucination while Raph fought a Shredder that was actually him underneathe? The whole 'Same as it Never Was' episode for crying out loud). The reason I bring this up to people on here (I figured the fan portion was the more reasonable place to put this) is cause feel free to let me know any type of topics to talk about (for instance, I will definitely bring up the TMNT Documentary that has been talked about on here) or anything that should be said, etc. Since it's the month of my birthday in May, I would like to do something special for the turtles (although nothing too fancy, in the fact that footage would more than likely get me shot down dead by Nickelodeon). But please, feel free and hopefully you'll enjoy and such. And if there is anyway to make this interactive, please feel free as well. Thank you. A Teaser for My All Month Long Tribute to the Turtles
Here's a teaser, in rough form, to what I'll be doing for the whole month of May...talkin' Ninja Turtles in all sorts of forms...and there's a sneak peek to a future video. Most will be me on camera speaking on the various stuff, but the sneek peek is of a audio/podcast type thing I did with a buddy of mind (thus why it's only a pic for the vid). Hope you enjoy.

My Personal History with the Turtles
I know most will find this uninteresting, which makes a lot of sense, but here's the beginning of my entire month of May TMNT marathon, in which I try to talk a little bout these characters in all forms. It won't be much, so no worries if you don't watch...just me petting my own two cents into these characters, in all forms, throughout the month of my B-day.
Starting off is my 3 part video on my personal history with the Ninja Turtles Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygz_QYiXl2k Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZP7cVOrTzg Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR__Z9X8J2M |

Bodycount comic book mini-series (Raphael and Casey Jones)
Welcome to another episode of my Ninja Turtle month. I wanted to do a seperate video on the comic book series Bodycount (from the mind of Kevin Eastman).
The blood-soaked brainchild of TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman and British comic book artist Simon Bisley, Bodycount is basically one massive gunfight sprawled over four 24-page issues. Regarding the origins of the project, Eastman had some fond memories: "While visiting me in the States and working on Melting Pot many years ago, I was talking to Simon about this new (to Americans) director named John Woo, and I was like John Woo this and John Woo that, and he said, 'Show me what this f*cking John Woo is all about!' Three movies later, he said, 'We need to do the longest running gunfight in comics -- it has never been done!' So, as we had already been discussing doing a TMNT one shot together, I combined the two, and said, 'Let's take Raph and Casey, and have a seriously good time!'" Hope you enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcSwqOVhKnk |
