Custom DCUC style Casey Jones

Haven't posted here a whole lot, but I just finished this up and wanted to post it somewhere that I know it will be appreciated. This is just the first of two customs that I have planned for this week.

First up is one I've had in the works for a LONG time (over two years) and am just now getting around to finishing. The NECA Ninja Turtles are my favorite toys I've ever owned, so without any supporting characters to back them up, I was pretty depressed. NO MORE! I came up with a paint free custom using a big mish mash of parts to make something that I'm very happy with!

EDIT: NEW PICTURE

As you can see he has no shortage of baddie bashing gear. Most of it is traditional Casey stuff, but the kendo stick was something I thought just fit in. Casey seems like he'd be a wrestling fan and would like to tote one around to smack some thugs with.

Recipe:

Head: LCBH Conan
Torso, arms: DCUC B'wana Beast
Hands: DCUC Black Manta
Legs: LCBH Savage Dragon
Mask: 2003 Casey Jones
Bag, bats, golf club: TMNT movie Casey Jones (added electrical tape and athletic tape)
Kendo stuck: ToyBiz TNA Eric Young
Shirt: sewn by me
Hockey stick from an unknown McFarlane figure and the wrist bands were some random fodder I had, I think it makes them look more like actual gloves than just black hands

I initially tried to have the mask be removable, but finding a a head that would have worked to look like Casey and stay on his face would have been too tough, so I had to do this:

I can handle it being permanent, I don't see me taking it off too often anyway.

Glad to finally have him finished and coming out just like I imagined him. I considered breaking out one of my paint pens and going over the mask to cover up that spot on the nose, but it adds a little character to the mask, so I left it as is for now.

In the next day or two I'll hopefully have the other custom I'm working on done since I'm on fall break and should have plenty of time to finish it up.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to leave your thoughts on it!

Wow. Casey looks great! Even the turtles! I'm actually glad they don't look too much like the 2k3 ones. This should be the new designs for a future 2D animated series. I guess these are based on the original movie. Are they?

Anyway, I don't know why you had to switch Don's head to Leo's body and Leo's head to Don's body. I wouldn't mind a gritty looking Leonardo or a calm-tempered Donatello. I guess since Leo is the one who meditates on issues, he would have that stern frown. I like them anyway.

One of my favorite lines from the film! That, and Mikey's "Wise men say . . ."

That looks really cool man.
You mixed Mattel's DCUC and Toybiz's Legendary Comic Book Heroes figure parts.
Two lines i really love so much.

And i am sure that the lower part of LCBH Savage Dragon is one of the most used parts for custom makers.
I LOVE it.

Thanks guys

Yeah, I liked Leo being more stoic and having a sense of calmness to him as he goes into battle, lol. Done just kinda got shafted with the grimace. I don't necessarily think of them as the movie Turtles, more just "my" Turtles which is a big combination of all the different incarnations (although the movies are definitely a huge part of that)

I think I decided today that I'm going to add some detailing to his mask. Something looked off about it to me and I think adding a little black to the cheeks will give it a little grittier look.

Dude, those are the Neca figures. Based on the original comic. They don't look anything like that in the movies.

Moviefy it, if it's possible. That mask Elias wore was awesome.

A bit of paint to make cheeks more visible on the mask would be good i guess.
Also i guess i would make the nose a bit smaller and the eyes ( or eye holes ) a bit bigger. But that's just me.

There we go, added a new pic at the top. The black I added is kind of hard to get a good picture of but it looks really good in person. Did it to the cheeks to make them sink in more, plus the mask has some scratches sculpted into it, so those stand out more too, then I did some on the brow line to make the mask look a little "angrier". Plus I completely did the underside of the nose since I think that's usually depicted with a hole under the nose so he can actually breathe.

Can we get a shot from a distance? Like head and shoulders, or the full body...to get a feel for the whole picture?

Nice work! I like how the shirt is material instead of just plastic.
