Splinter's acquaintances

You think Splinter will have any friendly acquaintances, like Obento, Mogo-san from 1987, Ancient One from 2003? What will they be like?

I think that in the beginning, Splinter will just have the turtles to raise, as always. Given the pattern of previous series, I think some new friend of Splinter will surface as the former aren't well known. But I feel there may also be the potential anti-hero that at first is good to Splinter, but eventually betrays him and becomes a serious villain. But I think my first thought is more likely, even though the second idea would be cooler and unexpected. With a Hamato Yoshi is Splinter origin, I'd actually really like to see his former friends eventually join Splinter as he becomes more noted over time with the turtles as it can help build an alliance with the turtles that could build up to a finale that sees the fall of the Foot.

It would be great to see Splinter have some alliances with characters. I think it would be great if it is shown that he is struggling with life as a Rat now. I mean show that he loves the turtles and trains them, treating them as his sons, but at the same time longing for the life he lost.

Since Splinter is Hamato Yoshi again, its quite likely that he might have human friends still in Japan.
