Daily or weekly?

This is less of an "I would like" and more of an "I expect" thread.

Most Nickelodeon shows air daily, and I'm wondering if TMNT will get the same treatment. Looking at a similar Nick show, Kung Fu Panda, it airs daily and has aired up to 7 new episodes in one week. As sweet as that would be, that might feel like an overload.

I know Ciro Nieli said once the show airs, he will have already been working on it for 2 years, and based on Rob Paulsen's tweets, it would seem that recording is ahead of schedule. Do you guys think they'll have all 26 episodes in the can, ready to air this Fall?

I'm expecting it to air once a week, personally. I wouldn't mind daily in theory, 'cause it's turtles all the time, but I guess it would run out too soon.

I agree. I would not mind it being weekly.

I'd start out with weekly since there aren't many episodes to show, as with less than 50 episodes total, airing a show daily can lead to rerun fatigue pretty quickly. I could see them airing twice a week, since the OT on average reran an episode about three times before a new set began (even when you factor in Season 3). Airing it daily would mean that we would see reruns after only about five weeks, which means that we would have to see every episode about nine times over before season 2 starts, and that's just too many! (Three times like in the old days works best). Shows like Spongebob works since there are over 200 episodes, and can afford to be run 8 times daily (though in reality, 4 since they are reran that same day). So, I expect one of the following:

A). Saturday only (or Sunday only) airings. Either a new episode every week, with all episodes reran once, similar to how Seasons 3 and 4 of 4kids were aired.
B) Saturday and Sunday airings, with Saturday a new episode and Sunday a rerun of the just aired episode, followed by reruns back-to-back twice, once in summer 2013 and again intermigled throughout winter and spring.
C) Air a new episode both Saturday and Sunday in the fall, then repeating them once in the winter, spring, and summer (similar to how Season 4's CBS episodes were reran, though of course that was one hour on Saturdays).

But for daily, don't expect that until Season 2 at the earliest, and more likely Season 3, but only if the show does well in ratings and the toys sell well. But there is still a slight possibility for twice a week.

I would guess that it will be weekly, but as ToTheNines stated, most of Nick's shows air daily. So it really seems that it could go either way?

Having a new episode everyday would be awesome, but I wonder if I'd get sick of it? But at the same time it seems better than waiting a week for a brand new episode to air?

I always like when I'm into a show as it's airing, it helps me get through the week waiting on the new episode. Plus being a comic book reader, waiting a week is not bad at all.

Plus, I believe doing daily just makes it a longer wait in between seasons.

I voted for weekly. While airing daily would be cool, I'd rather it air weekly so that I can see it more. Now, it wouldn't be a problem if it aired daily, but if I get that job I'm longing for, I'd rather it be weekly so I can at least see it on a day I'm off.

Yeah,the 4 kids version was shown on Saturdays.Well,that was when cartoons aired.They don't air on the weekdays anymore.

I vote weekly or no more than twice a week. I like how some networks have Saturday as a "catch up" day where all the "big" shows rerun episodes before the evening news (Ok, that may just be NBC). The idea of Turtles on a week day (I'm thinking Tuesday or Thursday, because come on Turtle Tues/Thursday! It practically writes itself.) with a re-run on Saturday.

I'm also fond of the back to back airing of a previous episode followed by the new episode. MTV does this ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME, and since Nick is a sister company, maybe they'll air the Turtles that way, though not sure how they'll do episode 1... maybe a 1. air it back to back... against itself? or 2. air the 1st 2 episodes together. I don't know. This is all conjecture, I ain't no network programmer.

I do however expect Turtles to air on T-days.

I hope weekly, with 4Kids I generally watched each episode at least 3 or 4 times because of the space between new ones.

I actually haven't watched Nick in years but I know Cartoon Network does that weekly Friday night action block which I think is a good idea.

I really see them making TMNT their weekend draw after PR wraps up for the year.

Weekly works for me. Having one new episode a week makes the week go by a little faster since I have something to look forward to. But that's just me.
