The god damn power rangers one of the reasons TMNT went down. Release your anger my children and lets boycott anything to do with SABAN. The sworn enemy of Mirage studios.

Uh...you should watch your language, Masta. There are a lot of younger ones who browse through the threads, and others might find it offensive. This is kinda in the wrong forum, too... As for Power Rangers, I don't think they were a major force in getting the TMNT out of the mainstream. Sure, Saban could have done a lot better with TNM, but we can't blame Saban entirely for the demise of the TMNT. The TMNT franchise was already on a decline when TNM came out...you could say that the product was starting to get stale. But I'm grateful they've started to make a comeback. There's a rumble starting underground...

Power Rangers were great until they started changing actors and actresses and getting a thousand Power Ranger Series a day.

No way dude, Power Rangers came out in 93 - at that time TMNT was still pulling in the viewers. TMNT still hung on for another few seasons but it eventually lost steam, =/. Power Rangers definately had a part in killing off the TMNT...

Most definitely, I can't wait. But the PR killed the turtles.

I refuse to believe that. That implies that PR was BETTER than Turtles, and that was just not the truth. The Turtles went through a down period, but they were never beaten. They're back in the spotlight now, that's all that matters.

Sorry dudes, but I agree with Kali on this one. Like I said before, I don't think the Power Rangers had a lot to do with TMNT's decline. If they did, it was a small dent. Let's just hope that the new cartoon debuts soon.

I think the tmnt grew old with a majority of people and their ratings started declining.

why look at the downside to it? why not look at the positivity and be glad they are comin out witha new one? power rangers i dont think had anything to do with the TMNT fall, i think it was a thing of people jus kept staying the same (ratings i mean) they went up at an average and stayed there so i believe they took it off cause they figured it wasnt gonna get anywhere

I've heard this discussion many times over and it's something that will probably always be discussed. I don't think the PR caused the downfall of the TMNT either. The PR basically saw an opening to come in with something new and they hit pay dirt. I think all the bitterness from TMNT fans comes from the fact that the PR craze coincided with the end of the TMNT craze. The PR were just a reminder that the TMNT weren't mainstream anymore.

But don't get me wrong. I don't like the PR either. However, that's just cuz I find them immensely annoying!

Heh heh heh...I liked the first season, but after that, the show just got too annoying.

And it also seems that the internet helped take much of the audience away from the TV. That, and the increased popularity in anime too. ;p
