The Official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Treasury book

Does any one own the The Official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Treasury book? Looks interesting and not sure if worth picking up though.

I have it. I haven't read it in years but if I remember right, it's very informative.

I doubt it's 100% complete, but I've been wanting that for a LONG time. I've been dying to see what kind of stuff is inside. I say pick it up.

It has pictures of many items, all of which are in black and white. It is broken up into chapters like comics, action figures, pre-surge stuff, etc. Also Eastman and Laird are interviewed throughout.

It was great FOR ITS TIME, which was before the Internet was a household word, providing a pretty throuough list of many merchandised items released up to its point. Its still a cool book in a nostalgic sense and in terms of some content, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it. Nowadays, you'd need a full-fledged TMNT Encyclopedia to cover what the Treasury covers, which stops just before the second movie, meaning that only one-fourth (and shrinking) of all TMNT history is represented in this book. Also check out The Unauthorized History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from around that time.

This link provides you to "peek" into some snippets (no pictures provided).

It's not really useful, since it was made before even the second movie. It's not even remotely "complete." Even so, it's a fun bit of memorabilia, and given that you can find a copy on Amazon for like, five bucks, there's no harm in getting it.

I have one, and I still thumb through it, every now and then.

I'd recommend it if you can find it at an attractive price. It was actually my first introduction to the Mirage comics. It's logically organized, got some informative paragraphs and lots of nice pictures of TMNT junk.
