Paints and Brushes

So I am getting into doing some repaints. I keep trying to get into customizing then things happen and it doesn't come about. I'm giving it another shot. So I'm trying to figure out what kind of brushes I should get.

I plan on using Citadel paints unless there are better brands. Just thought I'd get some advice before I jump in.

I've always used acrylics but I've never used anything super expensive. I certainly wouldn't recommend buying anything expensive if you are just starting out.

It all depends on your preference. I use citadel paints, but testors acrylics are good too. Some people use the cheaper apple barrel paints that you can find at the local craft store.

Brushes are especially important. You'll need to find some that feel really good to use. I have about 20+ brushes, bit most of the time I only use 3 because they are my favorites. They are just some cheap brushes from a multi pack I found at the craft store, but they have nice movement and apply paint well.

Ultimately the answer to your questions comes down to trial and error.

I haven't used citadel before, I usually use Testors enamel paints and/or Tamiya acrylic paints, they seem to work well, and usually use Testors paint brushes, as well as some other fine pointed brushes for painting small details.
