Organizing software??
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to sift through a decade's worth of backups to see what can go and what I wanna hold on to. It'd be easier if my duplicate IDing software would stop deleting dupes from my concisely archived folders than elsewhere on the disk.

http://www.whereisit-soft.com/ may work for you. I use it to keep track of what's on burned discs.

I have volcano duplicate cleaner. It goes though selected folders and check for dupes, which it then lists and you choose which one of dupes you want to delete . It takes time but then it doesn't delete the file you archived. Otherwise you could write a bat or use command prompt to move all specfic file to a specfic folder. Did it once with my bitmap files. Eg (move *.bmp /mypics ) move all bmp files in current folder to mypics.
