Donatello's Dust Machine OT Theme Song

Out of curiosity, for the OT Theme Song did you ever at any point in your life think that the lyrics were "Leonardo leads, Donatello's dust machine" instead of "Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines"?

I remember when I was a kid and used to watch The Jetsons, I thought they were saying "Jane is white!" but I never misheard any lines from any other cartoon theme.

No, but I will always think that it was "Raphael is cool but THROUGH" as in he's a funny guy, but is tired of being a full-time brother and wants to live alone. I sometimes also thought it was "Splinter taught them to be Ninja teams" instead of teens since the Turtles sometimes could pair off or separate with assistance from friends such as April and Casey.

When I was a small child during the original run I thought it was "Leonardo leads Donatello's dust machines". So I can relate. Why could Chuck Lorre not have worded it better?

Exactly! Some of the fans of the darker turtles will make an issue with it,but its just wording of a theme song that does not hold up even if its just one line of it. Its better than say, "With the Flintstones you will have a gay ole time!". That inadvertedly opens the door for alot of inappropriate jokes and now one in 1960 when have thought it of it yet 30 or so year later I assume it became noticed.

Its worst claiming Raphael is the leader in a hit single.

I always felt the line should be, "Donatello builds" or "Donatello makes" machines.

I never heard "Donatello's dust machine" in the song. I always knew it was, "Donatello does machines." But, yeah, it probably should have been something that couldn't be taken out of context like that. Oh, well.

Nah, I like it the way it is. Besides, we wouldn't have all the funny jokes about him "doing" machines then.

Yes, that's very true, Jeph. So hilarious.

As for Raph's line, I always heard it as, "Raphael is cool, but rude."
