Any Fave Original TMNT Figures That Didn't Appear in the Show?

Anyone got a favorite vintage (original) TMNT figure that never appeared in the show?

In the end there were so many cool mutants seemingly coming out of nowhere on both sides that a big part of the fun of playing with them (for me anyway) was that there was no animated influence to dictate their personalities.

Doctor El is pretty awesome and would have made for an interesting cartoon storyline!

Wyrm. He was animated in a commercial for the figures, but no in an actual epsiode. I wish we'd have gotten more of Anthrax and Scum Bug, since in Night of the Rogues they seem to be established villains.

I guess I'll come at this the opposite way.

To this day, I wish Playmates would have made a REX-1 figure!

As far as figures that didn't make it into the show, I think my biggest regret was never getting to see Ray Fillet animated. Also, FW really dropped the ball on integrating Ace Duck into the show (silly ol' 3-second cameo as a TV show).

The only ones we should have seen were Pizza Face and Wyrm, but at least Wyrm appeared in Archie.

A lot of those other mutant designs were really terrible. They were fun toys, but I can see why the writers didn't want to use them. Monty Moose, Halfcourt, Sandstorm, Doctor El, King Lionheart, Hot Spot, Scratch etc. are pretty dull as characters.

Scaletail, Pizzaface & Wyrm, man. & like Jester said, having an actual episode for Antrax & Scumbug would have been amazing.

This plus Armaggon into a action figure!

Wyrm, Pizzaface, Scaletail, Scratch and Shoate could have been cool villains.

Ray Fillet, Fugitoid, Panda Khan and Ace Duck definitely deserved some room in the show too. I'm sure they could have made a good work even with most absurd mutants, such as Monty Moose, Hot Spot, King Lionheart or Half Court. They could have worked much better than many useless characters they invented for the show.

We discussed this in another thread in the past months, can't find it right now.

Cobrato in Season 6's "Snakes Alive" could have easily been Scale Tail.

Dirk Savage:Mutant Hunter would have been the perfect chance for Playmates toys exclusives to appear.Instead of Mrs.Halfcourt,Halfcourt himself could have appeared. This could have had Monty Moose as well reasonably speaking instead of about four non-speaking extras. It would have made me more interested in the likes of Court,Monty, and others that could have fit as extras in this opportunity.

The thread title this was brought up in was titled Mrs.Halfcourt,btw.

I agree with Cubed about the missed opportunity of Scail Tail. Perfect chance and instead gave us a throwaway one-shot villain.

Would Fugitoid fit in MACC's place?

wow I never really realised that so many of the Toy characters never made it on television.

I thought Fugitoid was in an episode though. I'm not sure why I think that. Oh well. Besides the season 1 DVD and an old VHS with 2 episodes on it that I have, I really haven't actually seen the Fred Wolf TMNT cartoon since it was on television.

Panda Khan since I like pandas and was disappointed that he missed making the show from another thread I've read is my biggest regret. But I would have loved to see Donatello invent a storage shell and provide the Turtles with secret weapons in their shells. I also would have loved a Halloween-themed episode containing the Turtles as the Universal Studios monsters.

I don't have any big suggestions but I just wanted to chime in and say: That's why I love the Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures series! The Playmates toys actually get used and have character. Something Archie still pulls off wonderfully today in the Sonic the Hedgehog comics.

I think everyone has pretty much hit them all, so I'll go the flipside, there were characters in the show that never got toys. I would have loved to see the other 2 Punk Frogs made into toys, so we had all 4. And I also would have liked to see a Kerma figure. Also would have liked to see the foot soldiers released in a variety of colors like we had in the video game. That would rock.

I agree about Archie, I love that series still today (just a pity that only the first 8 issues were published in Italian, as for the rest I just had some scattered original issues). Many of my favourite characters appeared there and were given a personality, including Ray Fillet, Scumbug, Wyrm, Scratch/Hallocat, Slash (much better than the dumb one of the cartoon). Besides, Shoate was superb in the Mirage series.

I agree about the Punk Frogs. You see only Napoleon and Genhis were made BUT only Genhis was depicted correctly. So we got 1 adn 1/2 of the awesome team B! I hope if its at all possible that the Classics Line will give us a st of four sooner or later. It probably won't happen, but there is always the chance. They are my number one toy that never ever got to the drawing board adn Amragoon a close second already having mentioned him above.
