Tales of the TMNT V. 2 trade cover

This should collect issues 5, 6, and 7 of Tales. I hope they include the Spinal Tapped story from the 2007 collection, as that was a full issue in itself and continued from Tales #7.

We can use some deduction to guess. It's advertised as 116 pages. Minus the page counts of the issues included, does that leave enough space for it?

Pretty neat stuff. Wish they did better coloring though. Cel-shading really doesn't suit Lawson or Dooney, I know there's better in-house talent capable of it...

I recall those old Tales issues being like 35 pages or so each.

I'm pretty sure Spinal Tapped was 26 episodes although I can't recall.

Whoops, meant to type "minus" not "minutes." I was hoping someone would do it since I was lazy, but the page count of those 3 issues is 96, leaving 20 pages left in the book. I have no idea how many pages Spinal Tapped is since I've never read it, but minus pages for advertisements, copyrights, etc, that doesn't leave too many pages left over for anything extra...

I think it is 27-page long.

Yes. Spinal Tapped is 27 pages. The 2007 TPB also had the 7 alternate frontispieces and a 4-page epilogue to the whole thing.

Hmm... not sure if I like Lawson's take on Radical or not. The more I look at it, the more it starts to look like something Bruce Timm would have drawn for the later episodes of Batman: The Animated Series. Weird...

I think his Carnage, Savanti, and Leatherhead poses are all quite good, however.

It has to include the Spinal Tapped story then since they have so many pages leftover.

The only other thing could possibly be more shorts from the, "Shell Shocked" trade.

Quick count of story pages shows:
#5 = 32 pages
#6 = 32 pages
#7 = 38 pages
A total of 102 story pages, even omitting the covers and pin-ups from the original issues there's still not enough space for Spinal Tapped to be in this.

Yeah, I don't think there's enough. The last few pages will probably be dedicated to ads, since all the other turtle TPBs do, and maybe some bonus art if we're lucky.

The first Tales trade had 4 issues, I would have hoped this would have had 4 issues too.

There is enough room however for the 10 Page Untitled Nobody story, which I could see them including, since he's in the first Tales collection and it would tie in nicely.
