Shellraiser

Now that we got our first official viewing of the Shellraiser, I have to wonder why the Shellraiser animation model is so different from the toy. I'm sure the toy was designed early on based on some early sketches from the animators. It just seems there was some great things about the Shellraiser today that is lacking from the toy.

such as interiors? The toy looks cool on the outside but once you open it up any illusion is gone.

The RC shellraiser might be fun but as for me I won't be double dipping based on what I've seen of it so far.

Yeah, the inside of the animation model is way better than the empty abyss on the toy.

But, it's different on the outside as well.

The barrels on the front of the animation model vs the back on the toy.

No rocket boosters on the back of the animation model.

The back looks the same as the front on the animation model.

Minor details like the roof, the "painted ninja mask" on the front.

The gun on the side (which I realize is for the spinning gimmick).

Playmates has never been good with show accuracy. Just look at the Turtle Van from the Fred Wolf era.
