Blue kraangs?

Sort of a pointless thread, but I was wondering about this
Ever notice how most kraangs have a blue "gel" on them, and some of them dont? What's up with that?
I think it's kraangs "growing" on there human suits, or some protection armor, but I have no idea.

So, what do you think?

Well we had a blue Krangezoid in the OT episode "Invasion of the Krangazoids", and it could be from the same formula that Krang used to create them. I also feel that Krang was also trying to grow them into Android suits, but the Turtles stopped them before it could happen.
