A Mystery From "Green With Jealousy"
...Who DID give Irma that puppy?
I always wondered that. We got to find out which ones sent her the cards at the end, but the puppy thing was never brought up. I ended up "answering" the question in my fifth OT novella "Mutants and Miracles" today, but it's just a fanon thing and my own opinion. What the hell happeed to that dog of hers anyway? |

I would think that Mikey did since he's the animal lover of the group.

I think it would be ironic if the puppy really did some from a sailor who liked her. Just bring Irma's luck she wouldn't know that.

The note on the dog says "My feelings for you are more than puppy love.", so the "normal" wording would support the gift coming from either Leonardo or Raphael. In the cartoon, the Turtles reveal who the gave the gifts: The flowers ("From your devoted admirer" - Leonardo), the box of candies ("From your secret love" - Raphael), and with Michelangelo I explained above. I think the writers deliberately made that ambiguous at the end with the Turtles revealing only the three gifts to give some romantic hope to Irma, plus Splinter in the episode, as he was talking with Donatello about the pizza, said the pizza would explain their (the Turtles) strong infatuation (aka crush, puppy love) with Irma. So this works against any of the Turtles giving the puppy gift. Therefore it could hint that Irma's long lost love is somewhere out there... (Possibly hinting toward Howie in the next season [season 4]? The two episodes Howie was in seemed to show a deeper friendship between the two and of course Irma's love-struck facial appearances. Hmmm....) As for the dog ZariusTwo...who knows. LOL I think it's just a insignificant detail the writers didn't consider, and left to fanon. LOL, looking WAY too deep in this cartoon! Quote:

The dog probably went to Irma's apartment the day after she received it since it caused trouble with Vernon and Burne at Channel 6, knocking over a water fountain and covering Burne in dot matrix printing paper. It probably lived a normal life with Irma since no news is good news in cartoons. Since the dog was the fourth gift, it was likely a team gift by Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael based on both the message (Raph/Leo) and behavior (Mike).
