Favourite/Least Favourite

So the series has got a few episodes down on the block now, and I was wondering which episodes people reeeally loved and which ones you thought they missed the mark with. You can also use this as a shout out to your favourite moments (Though I know there's a thread on that), least favourite moments and other stuff.

Getting the ball rolling with my picks:

Favourite Episode: It's a really close tie between Never Say Xever and The Pulverizer. But Never Say Xever wins.
I don't know what the animators were on when they were doing that episode, but it was, by far, some of the strongest animation I've seen in the series. Donnie's dodging against the Purple Dragon was literally beautiful o_O Dat followthrough...
But I hate to base this decision off of animation alone (I'm an animation nerd, it's one of the first things I go gaga for, I can't help it). It was nice seeing the guys trying to get a regular night out on the town, and it was also nice to see the concept of mercy brought up. For a show that deals with lots of fighting and violence (Not that I'm complaining, that's one of the things I love about it XD) it was a nice touch, and something that doesn't always get addressed. All in all, this was one of those episodes where all the characters really had moments to shine. I rewatch this one all the time. Xever is really awesome. I wish they would have kept him on as a human for a little longer before turning him into Fishface.

Least Favourite Episode: The Rat King.
I wanted to love this episode. There are elements about it that I really love. I love that Falco comes back, I love how he gets turned into this horrific skeleton thingy and kind of goes crazy. I love the brief glimpse into the father-son thing Splinter and the Turtles have going on, and the final battle was also pretty cool. But as a whole, it felt kind of disjointed. It felt a little bit too much like "This character is at point A, okay, now we're going to move them to point B, and now flip over to point C". The final showdown between Splinter and the Turtles made the episode worth it. But at the same time, I couldn't really help but wonder why the heck no one tried attacking Falco >_> Just sayin', dude was right there. Ninja star to the face could have fixed a lot? I dunno.

WELL, GO ON GUYS, POST YOUR STUFF 8D

The two weakest episodes was the Spiderbitez episode and The Pulverizer episode.

All the other eps range from average to great.

After watching "Turtle Temper" again, I actually enjoyed it more. I just had to be in the mood for it.

I realize - even though it had its great moments, "The Pulverizer" was the weakest. Watching him was like watching a stupid version of Po. Hopefully, he'll get turned into the Newtralizer.

The Pulverizer episode was only saved by the small scenes with Fishface. So it felt like watching 7 good minutes of an ep and the other 13 or whatever were dull and painful.

In terms of story, the Pulverizer (I can't believe I got that wrong...) is definitely a filler. But I did have a lot of fun watching it. It did little to nothing to further the plot (aside from explaining where the power cell went, and showing us all that Donnie has waaaay too much free time), but I found it funny. It's one of the ones I go to for a laugh.
Though I did find it weird, Raph versus Fishface had absolutely no music. It was a little strange.

Turtle Temper was a bit too formulaic. I mean, once it was clear that it was going to be about Raph and his temper, I think everyone could figure out how it was going to end. Though Splinter going into serious dramatic story mode made me laugh:
*Serious dramatic music* "When I was a young man, I fell in love with a beautiful woman"-
">___> Oh hey, Look at the time-!"
"Sit."
"...." *Dramatic music continues*

My favorite episode would have to be "It Came From The Depths" Leatherhead's introduction was very nicely done, most of the jokes made me laugh and I love Mikey and LH's friendship!
My least favorite episode would have to be...hmm...Turtle Temper. Vic was just so...ugh obnoxious. I mean, I get that was part of his character but come on! The guy was just a jerk.

I'm not too crazy about the mouser episode. Part of it was okay, but other than that, meh.
I like Alien Agenda.

My favorite episode thus far has been "Panic in the Sewers". I just loved the chase scene with the go-karts, and that big explosion with the truck full of chemicals was pretty cool! Good lord, I sound like Michael Bay.

I thought the Mouser episode was much better than the first Baxter ep.

Don't worry. Explosions in movies and TV existed before Michael Bay.

I can't pic out any particular favorites off the top of my head since there are more than a few battling for the number 1 spot, but I can say without a doubt I absolutely loathe the episode Metalhead to the core. Everything about that episode grates me the wrong way and I can't find a single aspect about it that I enjoyed (which sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing Metalhead in this show). I sort of pretend that episode just plain didn't happen at all.

Favorite - last ep, breaking into TCRI & finally getting somewhere with kraang story. Least - Spiderbytez one. Honorable mention: loved the aftermath of battlescene with Shredder.

Turtle Temper, Monkey Brains and The Pulverizer are the worst IMO. The rest have all been great.

I'm seriously itching for Shredder to get back into the game. I mean, the aliens element is kind of a give in TMNT, but my favourite plotlines have always involved the foot. No crazy out of this world plots. No flying space ships. Just good ol' fashioned ninja vendettas. Shredder being an Utrom in the 4kids TMNT kind of killed his badass factor for me. Though I guess if you consider his size and what he was capable of, that makes him a successful villain? I dunno >_> I really like this Shredder. I want to see him do more evil bad guy things!

Monkey Brains is easily my least favorite. I've never been a huge Donatello fan, and though I like him in this series, I prefer when he's not the main focus. But aside from that, I also didn't care for April in this particular episode and the humor mostly fell flat for me. I guess overall I just found it kind of dull.

There's a four way tie for favorite, but I'll go with Never Say Xever as there is one area in which I think it stands out. As TheSmartOne said, the animation is quite well done in this particular episode, and it makes for a really fun watch. I also like the turtles interactions with the human characters and each other. Xever's fight scenes are always fun, and this episode had some good bits of humor as well. Since two of the other three have already been mentioned, I'll just give a quick shout out to the one that hasn't, The New Girl in Town.

As far as Turtle Temper is concerned, I have this weird love/hate relationship with it. I actually really enjoyed the episode (maybe because I'm not tired of Raph's temper episodes due to only seeing a handful of episodes from the 4Kids show?), but I really dislike Spiderbytez design! Every time he's on screen I try to focus on anything but him...

No it wasn't. It introduced the Shellraiser and jump started the while Dimension X thing because of the power cell. Not to mention Xever's legs.

None of the eps have been filler since every single one of them introduces a character or concept that comes back later. And yes, Spiderbitez will obviously return at some point.

When you compare how many important information is divulged in one episode to another, I'd say some of them are definitely more filler. I mean, the Pulverizer was fun and it did set up the stage for the ShellRaiser and the powercell, but other then that, nothing really happened. I thought it was a hilarious episode, but yeah. Though maybe filler isn't really the right word. It was more of a setup for the actual TCRI episode.

Also, Nick, please stop with these two week breaks, you're killing my heart >_o I'm not a patient person when it comes to new Tmnt ;-;
