Don't you just love how clean sewer water is in the OT?

Wouldn't the water be kinda dirty and brown....if you know what I mean?

When I was a kid I always thought the sewers looked like they did in the original toon.

Since the Turtles live in a drainage sewer and not a sewage sewer, probably not.

It's also surprising of how deep the water is in Case of the Killer Pizzas.

The Toxic Crusaders could have made a crossover to give a second thought to the water pollution. The OT's sewers felt so magical with all the various designs that you didn't know what to expect in each new sewer appearance. You had dry corridors, shallow ones, pewter walls, brick walls, various dead ends, waterfalls, and even some secret hideouts.

You just had to mention this episode... I just bought the cover art for the 1989 VHS tape. Can't wait until it gets in.

Clean? I remember an episode where one of the Turtles complains about going into the yucky sewer water.

Isn't that a sewer built around an underground river? (like in "Bye Bye Fly")

i just assumed it was a drainage sewer as well so it never really crossed my mind. As a kid, my friends and i use to run through the drainage pipes/sewers that ran under our neighborhood. the tunnels were about 4 feet in diameter so the access was very easy. we never did find a "grand central" kind of junction like we hoped, just a bunch of tunnels.

In the 4kids cartoon, the sewers on planet D'Hoonib are clean and it's because of an automatic cleaning machine. Maybe there was something like that in the old toon.

Same here, although i remember mine being a little bigger than 4 feet in diameter. Boy those were the days...

Now I bet this picture has been shared before, but i just ran into it today:

I guess the Nick turtles werent lucky enough to find a drainage sewer

I love that scene, one rat and four turtles live there.

I always love it when I'm playing a Ninja Turtle video game and there's a sewer level!
