Hi fellow fans!

Mikey at Heart · 04-08-2013, 03:35 AM

Just thought I'd introduce myself, since I'm new and all.

I became a TMNT fan when the 2k3 cartoon started, and I've been hooked ever since. Though I'm surprised it took me this long to actually join a forum and seek out other fans. Not sure how I managed to overlook this website all these years. But hey, no better time to fix that than the present, right?

Hopefully this place'll keep me from annoying my siblings and friends with all my nonstop turtle talk. XD

Since I did start with the 2k3 series it's the one I technically know best, but I love every version (kinda hard not to). :3

I'm an artist, but I'm a jack-of-all-trades type of artist. I'm trying to figure out what to stick with, cuz at some point I'd really like to actually make some money off of my art. I also like voice acting and theatre. And quoting movies/tv shows/songs. I imitate things pretty well and have a pretty good memory, so it comes naturally. And once I start, I have trouble stopping. >.>'

I don't have a favorite turtle (I used to, but I just can't decide anymore. There all too awesome!

), but I do feel like I can relate to Mikey quite a bit. Hence my username, Mikey at Heart. :3
(the only major difference is that I was plagued with "shy disease" when I turned twelve and haven't fully recovered. But I'm working on it)

So... I guess that's me in a nutshell. Glad to be here! You have NO idea how excited I am to be able to talk with other fans (I've never had much luck finding anyone else before, so I've kind of had to keep my love of TMNT to myself. But that'll change now, huh?).

"Well dudes.... I'd say that's pretty much a wrap. Cowabunga?"

Thanks! :3 It's definitely a lot of fun coming up with voices for different types of characters. Before my youngest brother could read, my mom would make me read all his books to him, cuz apparently the different voices I gave each character were entertaining enough to actually keep him interested.

I have yet to build up the experience to try to get payed gigs (you usually need to attend a workshop or work with a voice acting coach one on one, and you need a voice demo. I'd like to get all of that done sometime soon. It can be hard to track down just the right workshop/coach, and having a demo made can be expensive, but it's definitely worth it), but I've auditioned for a few non-paying ones so I can learn the actual processes of voice acting and gain lots of experience.

In June/July I'll be recording the voice of a character for a musical game called Broadway Angels. I get to voice of the main playable character, so I'm really excited!

Hey Mikey at Heart,

Welcome To the Technodrome Forums! Great to have you here!

LOL, don't worry you'll find people here who will talk more TMNT than you can imagine.

Voice acting huh?

So the million dollar question is...can you voice act any (OT, 2K3, or 2012/Nick) of the Turtles... especially Michelangelo really well?

If you do, I'm sure it would have been hilarious to use for phone pranks (especially ordering for pizza)!

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums!
